I don't go for many non-civilian models either, but I'll grab NG's version of this.

I never order models sight unseen. Mistakes have been known to happen before!

Here we go lads. For those not sure which Boris Force One to buy I've whipped up another video - this time looking at 5 of the 6 available A330-200 moulds and some thoughts on who is likely to do the best job:

The engines sit too low. I wouldn't touch any NG A330 till they sort this out.

Frankly, they look ridiculous.

I agree they need to be raised a bit, but in comparison shots with a Panda A330 I wouldn't say they look 'ridiculous' - they're definitely better than some of the old A310 moulds out there.

Swiss is NG, Cathay is Panda.

The difference is quite marginal. They are too low but the only ridiculous thing is your statement

They're either paying you to say that, or your eyes don't work.

Even your review video showed them barely above the surface. Unacceptable considering it's such a basic flaw in an otherwise excellent mould.

Having worked the actual aircraft for several years, and having stood by the engines, I will say, that the engines on the real thing really do hang down very close to the ground. I think the NG model is pretty accurate, but I do think they would look a little better if the engines were a little higher on the model, even if that would make it less prototypically accurate. Also it depends on the assembly of the model, and how snug the pylons are attached to the wing. The tolerances are so small that anything could easily throw off the look of the model.

As far as I'm aware no they haven't announced it, however people have been saying they have heard they will. I am dubious and doubt it'll happen myself

OK, maybe "ridiculous" is too strong, but certainly would stop me buying, same as your 310 example.

Panic buyers ahoy! Considering NG, Gemini Jets and Panda are all making the same model, instead of ordering the first one announced, I will wait to assess all of them first and also the prices! This will be a 'supply and demand' model and the market could be flooded with them?
