Default SSJ100 in 1/400...ever?

Hello, new user here

So I enjoy collecting Russian and Soviet and Eastern European airlines in general (my username kinda gives it away lol) and there are plenty of them around by I've noticed that there is a lack of SSJ100 molds. I'd really want to see it in the Yakutia regular and blue livery, new Aeroflot livery, as well as the Yamal livery. Currently, there are none commercially available as far as I know (other than a 50$ 3D print) which is a huge disappointment since Yakutia really does have a nice livery. What are your opinions and do you want to see an SSJ100?

I honestly doubt it. Not enough operators and not enough of a market. For similar reasons we will never get a TU204.

but $50 for a 3D print sound like an average model that size anyways

I can’t imagine anyone investing $10K to $12K to develop a new mould for a limited number of liveries.

It's not that limited: the SSJ can be produced in at least 25 liveries at this point, and there are additional airlines that have them on order that haven't been delivered yet (in fairness, covid may put the kibosh on some of those). Herpa invested in a 1:400 767-400 with a max of about 6 liveries, and they have a 1:500 SSJ, so they're probably the best hope.

Yamal and Interjet are "flown on" examples for me, and I agree the Yakutia is a nice livery. Of course Aeroflot would probably sell well. Personally I'd pick up pretty much anything that was produced, since a lot of them are liveries that I don't have other examples of. So yes I would love to see an SSJ in 1:400.

Several models have already been released in various scales other than the 1/400 scale. So I believe it will be released in the near future.

An interseting plane. I would be interested in a brussels airlines SSJ100.

Also Tu 205 is an interesting plane.

I think there is a real lack of such planes.

with best regards,
Jan

Yes. Surely we’ll see it and I hope that a manufacturer, whoever it is going to be produces a mood soon. There are plenty of liveries worth making it for and if molds of other scales have been made certainly 400 is a large market.

Personally, I’d look forward to NG as a favorite to make it just based on the impressive quality of their current molds and the fantastic print details. Bring it on

Thanks, guys, I have already asked NG but no reply
My hope is either NG or Herpa will probably make one.
