Default AV400 British Airways A350

I'm trying to understand what is going on with this model?

I've had it on pre-order at a retailer and still showing as a pre-order option but they do have a picture of the final model. I see it on eBay on some of the China/Hong Kong based sellers but nowhere else really.

Has it been made but not been able to make it to retailers due to shipping issues with COVID-19 or something else?

If anyone can shed any light on it I'd be interested!

Ive had this model for about 2 weeks and bought it from Moons (UK seller), who wouldve got it from China where its produced. I wouldve thought most models from China would arrive in the US first so it is curious how you havent got yours yet.

I am sure I read on another forum, the shipping route goes HONG KONG. EUROPE. U.K. U.S.A and finally CANADA. U.S + CANADA quite often gets models 4-8 weeks after u.k. probably why a lot of u.s members get theirs from china. so to get them first.

Thanks guys, I'll drop a note and check in with the retailer, who knows at this point could be a number of reasons delaying I suppose, glad to see they are making it to the UK though

On sort of a related topic, any sightings of the SAS A350 by AV400? I've had this on pre-order for a good while now. Note to self, no more pre-ordering AV400 models. Wait until they are released to order!

Never mind the SAS A350, what about the A330MRTT they announced almost 12 months ago!

I ordered my Etihad A350 which came out the same time as the SAS. That was about 4 months ago. These guys ( AV400) are good mould wise but absolutely s****e with delivery times. This is in referral to normal times pre Covid19 before I get any sarcastic comments! Lol

I got my BA one in the US 3 or 4 weeks ago (pre-ordered in July). Still waiting on the SAS one myself, I don't think it's been produced yet, even though it was announced with the Etihad one, which has also arrived.

I have had both the BA and China Southern on order for what feels like an eternity now. Whilst in Tokyo in January, I found a model shop that had some 1/400 including some AV400, they had both the China Southern and the Etihad.

I bought the Etihad but wished I had got the China Southern as well given that I have still not had notification of it arriving here in the UK. Maybe the UK will get them soon, but collecting them will be an issue ;-)
