The LH A343 for sure. I've already got an SAS A343 by Panda, but this new release has pandas on it? Does anyone know the story behind it?

Will wait to see photos of the P-8. I expect aerials, and will see if the blisters will be represented on the fuselage. This is supposed to be a new 737-800 tooling right?

Hi Harvey.

On April 4th 2019 SAS flew some VIP travelers from Beijing to Copenhagen. Two Pandas that was a gift from China to Denmark. They flew on (I assume) the regular SK996 flight from Beijing to Copenhagen. The is logo was on the LN-RKG in Spring of 2019.

This is a nice release and I have 3 other SAS A343 already but this one will be very much welcomed. Flew on this one CPH-PEK in January 2018.

Note, LN-RKG was recently sent for scrap on March 19th.

The Tu-134 is obviously most welcome but where are the 737-400s from a few months back? They didn't excite me much but the new mould did. Panda are really missing the opportunity for using their 737-300 (and 400??) in useful foreign schemes from the type's heyday. I can't say the A340s interest me at all.

Wow some very good releases this month. The tu-134 looks awesome and I will get it. The P08 Posidon looks amazing, I hope that it has all the antennas and domes but I have confidence that it will. I will also be getting the Qatar a340. Keep up the good work panda, would love to see more releases in the future.

Great to see the TU-134 mould come to lfe….hopefully the first of many! Agree with Richard - would love to see the 737-300 and 737-400 moulds put to use - loads of high appeal subject material...

Hi.

Just realized I have to buy the LH A340 since I flown on that one on September 7th 2017 (NKG-FRA).

Panda A340 is very good (very similar to AeroClassics)

The TU-134 will be ordered as well.

Of course I'm in for the Tu134, and I'll grab the SAS A340 as well. I've currently got the JC Wings one and the nose is...meh.

Would like to put in another request for the last Tu134 in commercial service (and the only one I've flown on ):

Yeah, I could live with it if the smaller bumps were printed but in this day and age models should have antennas. Especially one that features alot of them. The layout of them has the standard layout of a normal 737-800 on top with 2 with an additional 2 in between and then 3 toward the front of the fuselage. In terms of underneath there is 4.

The quality is generally quite good. In terms of sellers they can be quite difficult to find, I believe wafflecollectables sell them and aircraftmodelstore.

Ain't it weird what we each like / prefer.

I thought Richard (Stretton) literally collected everything, yet the beautiful A340 isn't in his collecting criteria.

That's not an implied criticism in any way, it just goes to show how varied our individual prefernces are.

I can't imagine how anyone with a love for airliners can't adore the A340 - surely the best looking modern airliner in existence! (Bit like a 707). Compared to all those butt-ugly twin-jets

But of course, this is looking at airliners through my eyes!

Richard may correct me, but IIRC from the thread we had on here, I think it's the airlines in this release that don't match his criteria, not the A340.

Yeah Denny is right. It may seem like I do but I try not to buy everything, in fact in some ways my criteria is quite strict. When it comes to aircraft after 2000 I only collect those from China/Hong Kong (of which I have lots and lots) plus a few Russians (which I've tried to stop).

So I do have A340s just not lots and I do try to not collect models from the 90s as well, outside the US and Canada, but I admit my weakness on this front.

I do like the A340 and I have 2 series 200s, 7 series 300s and 2 series 600s. They are all Chinese except for Canada 3000, Conviasa and TAP (and I really shouldn't be owning the last two of those ).

I, as you, think the A340 is a classic, as might Richard, too. Did the new Lufthansa livery turn us off? Quite possibly... Numbingly dumb livery redesign, and an expensive operation, too . Still a great airplane, they just sometimes paint it funny, Doug

I just hate it how the market is so saturated with buses (which not every airport even uses/has) yet one needs to pull hairs to get belt loaders and ULD loaders.

ok, yes, did You check out the stuff at shapeways, You can search for 1/400 GSE or directly use the link below.

https://www.shapeways.com/marketplac...&q=1%2F400+GSE.

Though I usually look for items that are related to LH or fraport, I pretty like those black buses with the title "Monster Link" somehow and consider to buy them.

yeah that's true, I always forget about them. The thing I like about GJ or others doing them is they have adjustable height

Though I usually look for items that are related to LH or fraport, I pretty like those black buses with the title "Monster Link" somehow and consider to buy them.
Some interesting stuff there. Are the moulds being painted before shipped, or do you have to paint them by yourself?
Why don't GJ or other manufacturers have Agreements with companies like Shapeways to produce GSE for them? Wouldn't that be an option to have accurate GSE being available for a large market….

I think it's not painted, I have no experience.

I think this should be moved to an own thread or probably get an own section in this forum, I am not sure.
We should stay with the topic here ;-)

I think the reason is because the quality of shapeways isn't the greatest. The overall shape is there and a lot of the design, but the product is always very fuzzy, least all of them that I have anyways

I have ordered some GSE from Ngineer via Shapeways and you have to paint the cars yourself..

This is probably as much as reflection on ARD being **** and not necessarily Panda

We already know Panda have not produced enough to satisfy pre-orders globally. Nothing to do with ARD in this case. If you cannot even commit to pre-orders then there's something wrong with your production method.

There is something important to note about JC. Every month they release a number of models, about 8 are due next month and the rest are all future releases which don’t have an estimated date (just like GJ but in a different way of releasing them).

I started a thread last year regarding JCW pre-orders:

Default Pre-ordering models
I was just checking the pre-order list on ACB (Aviation Center Berlin) web site and found that out of 159 models possible to order, JC Wings counted for 102 of them.
Seems they announce and only produce if there are enough pre-orders?

No wonder I have so few JC Wings in my collection.
