I have the Herpa/Gemini Jets 747-8 D-ABYA in the original dark blue shade before Lufthansa revised their new blue. Is the colour of D-ABYC that of the latest scheme?

The new shade of blue is just a bit more saturated and lighter.

Bit of a meh release yet again by GJ. The only ones I'd be remotely interested in is the FedEx and the Ural if it weren't for the horrible ground scraping engines and self assembly A320 mould. Might pass yet again and wait for the NG releases.

I was under the impression that GJ never announced pre-orders until the shipment was "on the boat".... being March 27th and announcing for May seems significantly earlier than usual, for GJ.

I'm assuming it has something to do with being a bit more cash-strapped compared to usual, with production lines in China being shut down for weeks. Get the products announced as soon as possible and revenues flowing in the door.

It's an American A320, just an ex-America West bird. Nice touch for the fleet-builders... IAE engines on this release, versus CFM on the previous AA A320 release.

Also... too bad no CV580's this round, had my hopes up we might see a few more good 580's throughout the course of the year.

Yes I know its an American A320 but I'm happy with IAE engines, having flown in N662AW a few years ago.

Yes, I would have liked a CV-580, too. If Gemini can get a 737-300 right, unlike the messed-up United, I'd like to see more of those, like Morris Air.

The trump livery AF1 748 livery ? Has this been confirmed as the approved final livery ? Last I read it was still just a proposed scheme ?

Perhaps it's a bulk "corporate" order from the White House.

Ordered the Air Canada A220, been waiting for it. May go back for the AA A320. I'm not convinced this will be the final livery of the AF1 B748. Will skip this one.

I'll wait on a photo of the L-100.
I hope GJ will look at tweaking the nose radome as it is a bit of a problem area.

D-ABYC still wears the old colours. This seems to be a fictitious model, at least as of now.
