Default Sky400 Qantas 747-400 Wunala

Hello everyone. I recently received Wunala and Wunala 2 Both Sky400 models. I was wondering if one or both are suffering from early stage Zinc rot? One models nose gear doesn’t sit on the ground properly anymore and Wunala 2 has wings bending upwards. But the thing is both have very very mild bubbling. The bubbling isn’t huge and can probably just be paint bubbling as well but I’m not sure both models have only one biggish bubble each which when tampered with just removes paint so I was guessing it was paint bubbling. Any help? Photos of Wunala 2 (engines not painted) show wings bending upwards extremely and the glare sorta shows light cracking but physical cracks are not on the wing. A sort of outline of what appears to be a crack is but no damage yet. Photos attached

I think zinc rot has many different forms, but I would say yes... many of my planes bent up in the same way, but then they got brittle and fell apart... diecast definitely is not a wise investment, enjoy them while you can. I literally had a few hundred suffer from this. But then I was over zealous back in the day collecting thousands....

I have this model and bubbles are growing everywhere on the fuselage and on the wing as well. I would call this zinc rot.

Thank you for the reply. Which sky400 Wunala do you have? Wunala 1 or 2? I’m thinking only Wunala 2 is effected but maybe Wunala 1 is as well. Also do you happen to have the Sky400 Qantas ALL RED livery? Is yours effected because I don’t think mine is.... I also have the Qantas Art 747-300 by Sky400 too which also looks uneffected but I’m worried the ALL Red is from the same batch so what if it’s effected as well

Agreed in some points but Zinc rot was real bad back in the day... hopefully technology now is keeping it from happening if factories remain more careful

I have Wunala1. I also have Sky400 Qantas 747-300 Nalanji Dreaming, but as you said, it is not effected at all.
