Default My first NG model

Greetings:

A few weeks ago, I learned that NG produced a model of a Virgin B789 with the registration of an actual aircraft I'd flown on. The model was released a while ago so retailer stock was gone. I was able to find one on evilBay for a somewhat reasonable price. I received it on Friday and I'm so pleased with it. I noticed it has a hole for a stand but no stand included. A little poking around and I discovered they're working on producing one. My only very little nitpick (VERY little nitpick) is that I feel the red is a bit flat.

I no longer collect models (this will be the second one in my collection) so I doubt I'll buy more NG models (as tempted as I am to buy a couple of their L-1011s!) unless they produce additional registrations of Virgin B789s and I happen to have flown on any of them. (NG if you're listening and you plan to produce multiple registrations, please consider G-VOOH, G-VBEL, and G-VFAN). And NG, if you plan to produce a Norwegian B789, either G-CKMU or G-CKNY would be lovely as I've flown on those, too.

Cheers!

Its great when NG models makes the registration that you have flown on. They made 3 757's with the same registration that I've flown on.

You're very fortunate! This is only the third 1:400 model produced of an aircraft I've flown on. The others being an Alaska "Tinkerbell" 737 and British Airways B744 G-CIVW. I'm hunting now for the BA model by Gemini.

In response to KLM4me's post......I hope they do one or two Norwegian 78's too. I'm contracted to Norwegian so would definitely get these if they became available! One thing I will look out for ( if they are done!) is see if the red is done correctly! JC screwed theirs up with the wrong red!

I'm confused, you want NG to produce more Virgin 787's and Norwegian examples too, but you don't really collect anymore and don't think you'll buy any ?

Look for the key words in my sentence: "I doubt I'll buy more NG models (as tempted as I am to buy a couple of their L-1011s!) unless they produce..." I no longer collect models - especially on the scale (hundreds) and of the scale (1:200) I once did because I'm moving to London. Not only will I be limited to what I'm taking with me but also - as I'm discovering - the amount of space in flats there. Many of the studio flats in London don't even have space for a sofa much less the ability to display model airplanes. Thus, I'm only interested in buying models of aircraft I've flown on.

...I read it as he would buy if they released the regs. he flew on.

KLM4me, I checked for the BA, but the one I have with my world tails is "CIVV" and not "CIVW"
