Question A319 Spirit Airlines Silver livery!

Top pic is Gemini and below the newly released A319 Aeroclassics.

Ok this is for those who either have both or the 2007 Gemini Jets 1500 limited unit one!

Which one is better?

As I missed out on the 2007 one,I decided to get this Aeroclassics one as I like the livery! I feel the paint job is better but I am shocked that their mould has not been updated with wifi dome and aerials and be on a par with HYJL/NG standards in this plane type as a model!

Overall its a nice little job but I cannot help wandering is the Gemini a better model? In 2017 it seems Aeroclassics did a A321 in the silver livery as its now a bright yellow livery and the white nose is correct on the A319 Aeroclassics edition as with that registration it did have that look at some time in its service with that livery!

So whats better? I am pleased enough as its a nice little model with a nice livery!
The Aeroclassics did have a ice box and packaging too.

Regards.

Andrew has stated more than once he doesn't believe in antennas on the 1:400s. But interestingly enough, the DC-8s have moveable ejectors. So go figure.

IMHO the Aeroclassics is a fine rendition.

and the white nose is correct. The white radome was only temporary. Strange that AC did this, but accurate nonetheless

It didn't last too long Wirth the temporary white nose.

The Aeroclassics baby buses are generally much superior moulds than the Gemini ones. I don't really mind the antennas being there one way or another - they're nice to have but don't really affect the display IMO.

Does the real aircraft have such massive metallic flakes, or is it an effect of the model paint spraying process? Similar problem afflicted the Virgin 747s' finish.

With all respect Dylan, i do not know much about Spirit Airlines and i was going by the fact the back in 2007 when Gemini released that model it had the wifi dome maybe the odd aerial as a go to compare against a new model of the same plane type, though different registration!

I checked on google images and that plane with that registration did for a time have a white nose??? Does not really bother me as i quite like the addition on the querk lets say to the normal livery!

I do think however and agree with other members the paint job and graphics are better and by a better brand!

Gemini was limited to 1500 units, not sure yet what the production limit was on this but there is this site i have in favourites that lists every model and everything about it so soon it should list it number amount for production!

I was interested what people think ,thats all!

I wouldn't touch any Airbus model produced by Gemini with a 10-ft pole! While AeroClassics may lack aerials and domes, their Airbuses look much better.

I've found that the disco glitter effect is always more pronounced in photos, but doesn't look at all bad when holding one in person.

Gary, 140 pcs of this model were produced. 137 pcs were shipped out in the first wave.

Not sure what constitutes a "better brand" in your view, but I will not go down that road with you. Everything is subjective, including the product lineup, history, ability, accuracy, quality, value, and pricing.
I will state for the record, that in 1:400 scale, antennas are OUT OF SCALE, and take away from the accuracy of any model. It might be a nice gimmick which looks cool so some, but we will not sacrifice accuracy for fads of gimmicks.

Also, for the record, AeroClassics has 3 different wings for the 3 different baby buses; A319, A320, & A321. The competitors use a one-size fits all wing. Exception is Panda/HYJL/NG, whom have illegally cloned our tooling, stolen our intellectual property, and simply added antennas to it. BFD! A better brand will not steal from another, and will create their own products using their own research materials and resources.

I am not too sure what your complaining about! It seems your saying the Aeroclassics is better and will be rarer(scarce) as of only 140 units so far!

As i said ,i myself am not too bothered of the fact the dome is missing IF there was one originally and just asked if it bothered members of this fact! It seems everyone so far feels the Aeroclassics has a better paint job etc and i would concur with that!

Are you a Aeroclassics worker?? You stated >> whom have illegally cloned our tooling ???

I guess it wasn't disclosed through any of your threads that aklein707 is the owner of AeroClassics. Things should make more sense to you now.

Ahh..... That makes total sense now! I thought it sounded rather defensive!

As said not sure what he was getting so hot under the collar for! I bought his one and I like it even so it has the MAYBe missing things that Gemini had but like you I avoid Gemini now and for a long time and probably forever more as other new brands just make them over priced 2nd rate .... !

Well their A350 Virgin was not bad, better than expected ......though AV400 blasted it out of the park with their one in my view!
