Default Take it Easy: The Rise of easyJet

Next year it'll be 25 years since easyJet was formed and the LCC revolution really took off. Looking back the combination of liberalisation and the internet set the stage for an obvious step change but at the time this was not obvious. The recent Panda trio of easyJets give me an opportunity to look at U2's early years:

Where are the Go 737s Panda?

Another good read Richard. I still recall wandering across to nearby Glasgow Airport to see that original 732 flight arrive and the loco revolution begin. It was a few years after that I started using them myself and have been on board their various types many times since. In fact this Sunday I'll be taking my first A321Neo flight as I head from GLA to BRS to take in a gig that evening.

I got all three of those 737 models too, as well as just about every other orange release in 1:400 as well.

Well done as always Richard. My Easyjet models are mainly 200 scale.

It’s a real shame that no manufacturer has released the first two B737-200s which entered service in 1995.

He was talking about doing these a long time ago, but nothing happened. Now everyone else is releasing all the types that Easyjet have had, so guess their lawyers have given up trying to stop the flood of models coming out of China?
