Re: Mould Review: Airbus A330-200F
I personally have only ever picked up one example of the A330-200F and that ended up being the JC Hong Kong Airlines Reg B-LNV. When I made the selection it was largely based on 1) my desire to have the type represented in my collection and 2) a member of a existing fleet that I've been building (fleet builder contribution) and 3) the price was right coming in at a very reasonable 20 USD.
I'm over-all very happy with the example. As you mentioned in your examination of the different mould contributors, the JC is not quite level. The back end is sitting lower than the front end for sure but the key feature being the front gear bubble existing as part of the main casting looks good and is more than ok with me and clearly explains to anyone taking a look how Airbus attempted to make the A330F a marketable solution for companies looking to modernize their freighter operations.
Finally, I would like to one day own a Panda example but because I already now have the type represented in my collection it is a low priority. My pick to pursue would certainly be the Tampa Cargo. Thanks as always for your comprehensive comparisons Richard.
P.S I'm attaching just a quick shot of the model sitting inside a manilla file folder. Note the way the folder crease in the background does not run level with the fuselage further indicating the level issues with the model.
