Guess I will be waiting for the AV400 SAS A359! I figure PHX or GJ will get this out to market before they do, but I'll wait for this one.

Don't think so. I wouldn't expect to see these models until around December/January at least.

They've only released a couple of China Airlines examples so far. Looks pretty decent from what I have seen

The Aviation400 777 is amazing. Just like their A350, it comes with all the beacons etc, but on the china 777, they made the dome too dark. But I'd say its probably my #1 favourite mould out of Phoenix & JC. I love JC's flaps down 777. Phoenix is decent as well. Gemini is OK, last I heard they had oversized the gear or something. The Gears are well done and Quality control is amazing. No loose parts. AV400 is using newer type attena design like Panda is, so the bottom portion of the attena which fits into the model itself is way way longer so its a bit easier to repair. Cradle and Box are amazing and is the same size as their A350 boxes. I'd love to see more liveries on this mould.

Thanks for the pix JagT, do you have any from a more front-on or front-quarter view? From this angle the nose and cockpit windows remind me of the old JCW mould (not the newer one) which just didn't look right.

For the doubters I suppose the case is the difference in quality and details between the brands? Maybe NG and Inflight are go aloners and Jcwings and Gemini Jets team up on moulds from what I read ,made probably is the same place and put into different packaging? Who really knows! Just go with the brand that best suits your likes my guess is!

You need to read a wider range of material than just Jon mate. JC Wings make Gemini Jets, Aviation400 is made by Inflight and NG are their own people but made the models for HYJLwings. Fact

Hello Richard, i assume when you say Jon you mean JonChamps over at 1:400 reviews?

Well to your reply i do read other material,i read (yours mate) and others aswell as threads on here before i even joined up! So not sure what is your beef with me then?

Regarding HYJL i did know they were connected in the past to NG as of similar model types/packagiing and quality! They like NG in the past were specialist or specialized in A320,A321 and B757 models! Its only of late that NG has branched out doing Tristars and A330's and B787's and now according to you A350's! Whether HYJL is still around i am not sure as i have seen no new models of late under their branding!

At AVMegatsore they still have quite a few NG and HYJL models of the past that will not sell as too high prices now for old models!

In their summer sale i made them a fair offer on 2 NG B757's as of the livery i liked but not the Plane type that much ! The offer i thought was very fair and would take 2 off their hands but they were not obliged ,so alright then let them sit there for another year then as those who wanted them have got them! Waiting for a newbie on greed for maximum price if a fools game as you could have had a sale and got rid of some stock but hanging on with them just for maximum profit and taking up space, well they will be there for some time then! Their loss!

Well that´s how it is. I remember seeing a Gemini Thai A380 (1/200) for around 399 Euro or so on ebay...

The Aviationmegastore has other ways to get rid of older models. That black friday sale last year was a joke! Just old and imo ugly models and liveries

Wink Re: Aviation400 New releases!

I agree with you there Flying Dog ! That black friday sale was a laugh! Nothing ANYONE who really collects would want just the run of the mill stuff and i do like the way they show the price! LOUD what a saving price without the tax then the tax included price below that does not shout out as loud at you! They think were fools a gladly!

For UK buyers add the £10 for P&P too! They seem to forget that even if you make them a fair offer sale or not!

I only go abroad like America or Holland the big 2 AvMeagstore and Scale model store when i cannot get what i want in the UK! Its the postage that kills the deal it works out the same once thats added or more than buying in the UK!

New pre-orders are up on Waffle's for four A350-900s:

JAL Japan Airways JA04XJ
Aeroflot VQ-BFY
Fiji Airways DQ-FAI
South African Airways ZA-SDC

Personally I am looking forward to seeing the A350 in the Aeroflot livery.

You won't see it in the current livery - they've evidently introduced a new one. Silver fuselage is gone. Doesn't look horrible though IMO.

That is a shame, the current Aeroflot livery looks excellent. This still looks nice enough but a huge downgrade over the silver body. Was somewhat considering one of these myself, but I may just get these three as planned:

Emirates
Qatar
Vietnam

Some people on airliners.net were saying that the silver starts to look ratty quicker, and is harder to color match when repairs/touchups happen. And I'm not totally sure that this isn't some sort of pearlescent white yet. But that might have similar matching problems.

Has anyone who ordered from UK Retailers received the Cathay A350-1000? I ordered from ARD and received the Virgin Atlantic but was curious to see if the Cathay had landed on English shores yet.

Nicko! Well i am still awaiting the BA A350-1000! The UK seems to get theres about a month after everybody else in Europe!I have alot of there A350's now 4 1000's and 4 900's ! All great!

There are 2 UK retailers who seem to get most of their catalogue available to buy and thats Airspotters and Flying-tigers! AMS have started but only some as well as AVMegastore just come onbard recently and Scale-models-store for a long time! I have not seen the Cathay Pacific one available by anybody?? They did do one,one of their first A350's but the green was TOO green if you get me! So maybe they are doing another registration with a better paint job?

If its ARD i do not touch them! They are lazy with email replies and i have just chosen to stay loyal to those i use as they deliver! ARD put loads of stuff up as pre-orders and may never get it in! Check Europe out as a better bet! Or look on ebay and uk picclick as they get private HK sellers if you cannot wait 6 months as everything with UK retailers it seems comes via boat to keep prices down? Holland maybe via Air-freight! I would be happy to pay a bit more if UK retailers would use Air-Freight so instead of waiting 6 months might get it in 4!
Waffles ,never heard of them,i will check their website out!

Regards.

Aviation 400 have done the -900 and -1000 in Cathay colours which has been reviewed by Richard. I’m from Australia and buy from the Europe sometimes as it works out to be cheaper, I’m happy to wait a little a bit longer if it saves me some pennies. I’ve bought from ARD twice online and have visited their Heathrow store without any issues apart from wait times on models.
