Question What is this??

I was just doing a casual search for Aeroclassics models in Google and found this. Looks like total BS to me but was wondering if anyone else had come across this website before? All the models appear to be plugged from ebay listings. The prices and quantities shown for each model, some of which are very hard to find, cannot be for real. They seem to have lots of discounted toys and models various. The site does appear to be maintained, with 2019 copyright:

https://www.sureshnetwork.com/index....d=aeroclassics

https://www.sureshnetwork.com/index....ducts_id=21168

This has got to be a wind-up surely?

Definitely. I'd be interested to hear if anybody has actually bought something from this site.

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't trust any retailer site that is using ebay photos for their stock products. That a major red flag.

But look at the prices - the original and then discounted amounts - that just cannot be right surely? They basically say it's 'inventory backlogs' and 'overspending from factories'...so they have 35 units of the Unical Hybrid 737-200 available, which was an exclusive Hangar Club release years back, available at $23.43 each?

It's got to be dodgy!

I agree. Lots of ebay sellers lift pics as well and that always puts me off from buying. Those who might be less well-informed about these models could really get stung here.

+1 Always look at the "Returns" and "about us". There are no address details, location, owners details.

Thanks for the info/links guys. I don't post over in the 1/200 section, so didn't see this. Needless to say, it confirms what I thought. Apologies for raising the topic again in ignorance of the other threads, but I guess it could raise awareness for other members who might not know.

No problem at all .. I took the plunge solely as an experiment and placed an order with a credit card .. shortly after the website disappeared and the Ccard company refunded the charge.

I read that - thankfully you got your money back, that's a security with using a credit card. I assume you had a new card/number issued afterwards.

Yeah I know, lots of nice rarities which is all part of the ploy to fool someone; dangling the proverbial carrot. Hopefully future model fairs might yield a few more gems at a decent price.

It's a credit card scam. You give them all you credit card info, number, expiry date and the security code, then they cash in and run. The credit company will refund you the loss, but the crooks got their money and are not traceable.

That's terrible, there are so many variations of this scam all over the place at the moment.

Scam. The AC Condor 727-100 photo on the website is one I took for that model that I sold on eBay awhile back.

I bought a model from a very similar looking webside about six months ago but the prices were a lot dearer.

Never received the model but did get my money back through the bank.

Will never do that again.
