Default AeroClassics Ansett 7672-200 Why ?????

After such a long drought of no Australian airlines AeroClassics announce to new models for the Australian market.

Prior to the official announcement I was quite excited as what the models could be as there are many various new models that could be made.

I remember starting a post on 400 Scale Hanger of what Australian models could be made and from memory there where over fifty that had never been produced.

Well the October AeroClassics have been announced and the word is that there are going to be two Ansett 767-200 model produced.

Although the registration on one of the models is new both liveries have been done before.

I think Andrew is quite clever in reproducing two previously released Australian models as presumably his art department should have been able to copy previous artwork so there is little or no mistakes on these models.

With all the models that could have been produced and AeroClassics decision to produce the Ansett models just goes to show why other more progressive companies are steeling AeroClassics sales.

I was looking at the DIMA database. It seems only dragon had produced these models and liveries.

It's just releases for one month out of 12.

"Steeling" [sic] their sales, eh?? I think there is hardly a case to be made about AC having 767-200 sales steeled [sic] away from them. I think you'd find very few collectors agree with your premise, that just because a livery has been done in the past, doesn't mean it shouldn't be done again on improved, better tooling. Even so, maybe those original releases are sold out and impossible to find.

Waffle's latest email said most the 767's this month are already sold out, so I don't think it's reasonable to suggest there isn't demand for those Ansett 762's.
