Default Suggestions for Aeroclassics Boeing 737-200s

Great to see the return of the Aeroclassics Boeing 737-200 mould and especially for the reissue of the SMA United airlines releases that were made some 15 years ago, the original SMA 'mainliner' version of which suffered from the dreaded 'zinc rot'.
Now how about some more releases from the SMA list. I would love to see a Frontier 737 in the delivery and late schemes, as these sold out years ago?

I think there have been requests for others like New Zealand National Airlines and how about a Braathens one that we can actually get hold of?
Any more suggestions?

To compliment Big Al's request, what about G-DDDV in the Air Europe colour scheme, or in it's leased British Airtours colours or the interim BA Landor livery? Good call Adrian.

Besides the SMA list, how about reissuing an Aurora one: United Saul Bass 737-200

Then, also high on my list would be a United Battleship 737-200. A Vanguard 737-200 would make it to my collection too.

I vote for some Alaska birds. The old 80's and 90's livery would make a great set.

It's all very well showing pics of obscure and lesser-known small airlines, which may be your favourites, but you have to think from Andrew's point of view - you need to ask yourself, " Is my airline so well known that it would sell out with dealers worldwide"? In many cases 'NO' ! Therefore I suggest that you give more well-known airlines, particularly national carriers priority. PRM1162's list is one that has more chance of getting made in post #8

Shorter-haul narrowbodies, I suspect, are more regional in interest. Are most going to sell evenly worldwide? I for one tend to want those where I've flown most, in my home region (North America). I for one wouldn't buy much on PRM1162's list; possibly the Aviogenex (DiMA shows no 1:400's of that carrier) and Lithuanian (national carrier). But Euro buyers would love them! For Euro carriers, I tend more to widebodies or larger narrowbodies; those have tended to visit North America.

Aeroclassics has historically been willing to do (presumably small runs) of lesser-known local-service, LCC's, vacation, and national carriers, from different parts of the world. That's part of their appeal as a maker, they do large and small carriers alike. Who else would have done Mauritania, or a variant scheme of Braniff II? I bought both.

A big part of Aeroclassics’ popularity is a direct result of them being willing to tackle lesser known and rarer subjects that other brands won’t touch. This gives them a significantly higher cool factor. Besides, nobody wants to look at a bunch of photos of Star Alliance airliners that we constantly see already. All of the Canadian airlines I suggested (aside from one) still operate the 737-200 which makes them a lot more likely to sell than obscure airlines from the past that no longer exist. If they are still in business and flying 737s... there are a significant number of customers for that airline out there. Don’t under-estimate their popularity just because it’s an airline you are unfamiliar with.

Air North would be the biggest seller off my list, I am certain. But the Air Inuit livery is pretty impressive. Nolinor does a lot of defence department contracts, and who wouldn’t love that black Chronos 737 in their collection looking like an SR-71 in that livery?? Badass! I wouldn’t be worried about any of these being great sellers

As my favorite aircraft I could list literally dozens, but I'll keep it short(ish) :

Carnival
Bahamasair (the 2 liveries not done by SMAC)
Cayman Airways (blue bottom and grey bottom)
Aviatsa Honduras
Atlantic Airlines
Honduras Air
Nolinair

Fantastic thread. I've always loved the 'thunder guppy' (is that just a United moniker, or more ubiquitous?)... great to see the tooling back in use.

In the original "Your Hopes for Aeroclassics in 2019" thread, I suggested the America West 737-200, so it was great to see that. I'd hoped that the more iconic Braniff II livery would be done, but maybe that one is forthcoming. With luck, maybe!

To start, would be nice to see a few additional United releases. To compliment the Mainliner and Stars & Bars, done this month.

1) Saul Bass, small titles
2) Saul Bass, large titles
3) 'Battleship' grey

I've always been surprised at how under-represented the 737 years of Frontier are, compared to the A320 years - which are quite well represented, in the scale.

Depending how well they sold (or not?), there's up to 12 different Frontier 732's that could be done. 12 sounds overly ambitious, up in the ranks of GJ with Emirates A380's. But, one would only have to change the tail artwork for subsequent releases.

A few final 'food for thought' options.

Both the Piedmont and the Delta were released on GJ tooling in 2000 and 2003, respectively. But, an AC version would undoubtedly be better. Especially since AC did both a Piedmont and a Delta on their short-lived 737-300 tooling. Would be nice to finally add the 737-200 to the AC lineup, for both.

Piedmont always seems to have almost a cult following, on here. Lots of livery options; the main livery, as well as the various bare metal hybrid options during the PI/US merger.

Aeroclassics has previously released a Delta 737-200, but in the 'interim' Ron Allen livery. They've yet to do the classic 'Widget' livery. Or the 2003 'Deltaflot', for that matter.

I would definitely go for AC Delta classic widget, Piedmont, UA Bass large-titles, and early-90's-Frontier 737-200's.

My list is endless, however here are a few I would particularly like to see:

1) Britannia, same livery as the recent B762.
2) Orion, original silver belly scheme.
3) Braathens SAFE. Same reason as Adrian! Gutted we missed out on that in the UK.
4) Aviogenex
5) Skyjet (USA). Fantastic livery.
6) Iraqi Airways.
7) Caledonian Airways.
8) British Airtours Negus.
9) British Airtours Landor.
10) Air Malta, same livery as the B720s.

Orion original polished belly scheme & Air Malta 70s - 80s c/s are at the top of my list, along with Saul Bass United large titles; another small titles version with different reg. would also be very welcome to compliment the Aurora400 release of 2006 vintage.

Indeed, AC released a FAT (Far Eastern Air Transport) B.737-200 a few years back, a Taiwanese carrier which until previously, I'd never heard of. It was in 70s-80s c/s, right up my street and an unusual release - which I missed. Must have sold well in the more than likely small quantity produced, as I can't find one anywhere!

1) Saul Bass, small titles
2) Saul Bass, large titles
3) 'Battleship' grey
How in the world have the Saul Bass's not been made by GJ or AC?

A Presidential would be nice to go with the Jet-X Bae-146's!

Yes, a Presidential would be terrific! Great example of a USA Deregulation startup.

Yes! Good suggestion. I have all the 146's and they need a new shelf mate.

Along with Transpac787s suggestions, an Air Zaire would compliment the other Air Zaire ACs!

Ryanair, in all the special liveries would be welcomed, as would a standard livery.

There are certainly a lot of good UK charter airlines I'd like and Orion is near the top of the list. Some of these have been mentioned already but would be superb:

Air Europe
Air UK Leisure
Monarch (2 schemes)
Britannia
Inter-European
Ambassador
Palmair

A whole variety of Easyjet and Ryanair 732s as well.

Other regular visitors to the UK in the 80s and 90s would be good:

Transavia (I know one has been made but there are other schemes)
Braathens S.A.F.E
Lithuanian
Aer Lingus (green top)

I'm liking most of the US suggestions too. Especially Vanguard (several schemes) and Frontier (loads of animals)

Andrew.... BRAATHENS please. We never got a sniff of this in the UK when it was first released.

Definitely second this. The first holiday I went on was with this.

Also vote for:

Britannia 90s livery
Star Peru
Amber Airways
Ryanair standard livery

Please yes!
This is one of the last 6 items on my all-time wishlist.
And that Vanguard above is one of the others!

I'd also be interested in the BahamasAir, FirstAir and original AirTran.
And the Frontier.

Amazing how many good subjects are left.

I'd definitely love to see some re-releases of Canadian/Air Canada models. Perhaps a Westjet one as well?

What we really need are Landor 737-200s. SMA (AC mould) made one years ago but that was it. Perhaps a KLM one as well? so many possibilities!

Oooh a bowling shoe?

What Paresh said. With a bit of emphasis on the scheme.

An Ozjet wouldn't go astray either.
I know not to hope for NAC as the man himself confirmed to me in person that he didn't think it would be economically viable.

Count me in on the Air Pacific 737. I’m also hoping Andrew has a 767-200 in the same colours in the pipeline, sure to be hot sellers
