Default Herpa and NG Qantas 737-800 "Yananyi Dreaming"

NG have made a fantastic model with their introduction of the 1/400 Qantas 737-800 "Yananyi Dreaming"

Compared to the Herpa model manufactured back in 2006 you would have to say that although the NG model is fantastic the Herpa produced thirteen years ago with the technology back then is just incredible.

The Herpa model is on the left in all pictures

Very nice comparison. I didn't get the Herpa but my NG edition arrived last week. Here she is alongside my other favourite Qantas special livery.

Stunning model. Mine arrived in good order, just haven't had the time to really enjoy it yet.

That Herpa model was limited to 1000 pieces and fetched a pretty penny on Ebay, back in the day. I agree, the Herpa model was a stunner.

I enjoyed my Herpa version when I had it. Saw the 1:1 in Australia back in the day. Was tempted with the NG version, don't want to get back into 1:400. Maybe a maker will do a 1:200 version other than the older Herpa 1:200 release.

Was not planning to order this plane, it was shipped to me by mistake, rather than ship it back I decided to keep this plane, I like the NG 737 mould.

Nice comparison Bob. Your right about the herpa a great model for 10 years ago. Have also just got the NG version not much between them.

Yes, we need a diecast 1/200 model of Yananyi for sure!
