Default Anyone heard of “Albatros”? (New manufactur)

Hi everyone, recently saw a post on Instagram by @coloraviation (photo credits belong to them)

Looks like a new manufacturer is running out of the JCWings factory using their 747-400 mould and apparently the 777 one as well. Does anyone have any info on who they are and where to order their models from?

Don't know what 'Albatross' is as a brand, possibly just another offshoot name to put on boxes ? I guess this is the much anticipated new 744 mould announced by JC and R Stretton, a long time ago. It certainly looks decent.

The nose definitely looks better on the 744.

Look at the engine pylon/wing join. This looks to me like the old 747-400 just with a livery that disguises the old nose.

Could be ? The seductive lighting certainly helps to polish it up. So when can we expect the new JC 744 mould that was hinted at on here ?

Albatros is not new. They have been around, at least for 1:200, for more than 4 years now. I think they often commission their models with Inflight, though some models seemed to use JC Wings/Gemini mould.

Wasn't that "Albatross" with 2 S... I don't know if it makes a difference or matters but I'm quite excited to see some good use come out of the 747 mould with respectable wait times. Hopefully the Orange Box "EW" will also make good use of it

I thought they would use the new JC 744 mould, but looks like it's still on the old GJ mould...
Albatros is not new. They released couple China Airlines 737 and a 747 using AV400 moulds in 1/400 before. They only do Taiwanese airline models.

Yep, they're from Taiwan, and have been around for more than 5 years at least. Aside from the China Airlines models, they have also done the EVA Air Hello Kitty series(A321s and A333s)and the 787s (787-9 and 787-10), most of them on JC moulds I believe.
