Default Lost Potential: A TU-204 Wishlist

The subject of Soviet era moulds is a common theme, on this forum at least, and one aircraft type that has a surprisingly decent number of options is the TU-204. It already has moulds in 1:500 and 1:600 scales so surely a 1:400 effort is viable. Here are 22 possibilities with my feeling of their viability. Obviously none would sell as well as a 787 or A350 but there is room in the hobby for more than Boeing and Airbus and the presence of a Chinese example surely boosts the likelihood of seeing a TU-204 eventually:

Interesting article. There are more operators of the handful of 204s built than I thought.
I wonder how the Ty-134 would fare in a similar article?

I don't believe DHL has any aircraft - they subcontract everything as far as I know. Hence we have such entities as ABX Air, Astar Air Cargo, etc.

Good list; I'd buy many of those too.....I think '20.' should have been 'Latavio' though - I'd be happy to see that one made as well, along with the Air Baltic International TU-134 that wore the same red/white livery through the mid 1990's after the break up of the state airline.

Greenair (Turkish charter operator seen throughout Europe in the early 90's) would be a another nice one...plus Albanian Airlines, Lithuanian Airlines, and Pulkovo to name but a few...

Huh. I had no idea the Tu-204 could carry RB211's.

Surprised you didn't mention Air Koryo among your lineup.

Yeah I mistakenly thought they only operated the short body version.

Yes, all part of the Russian masterplan to create their own 757. Although funnily enough, overall it's remarkable how similar in appearance the A321 Neo is nowadays.
