Hmmmm....
My NG Hawaiian Air L1011 arrived with a wing detached and unfortunately it damaged the paint on the fuselage. You have to look closely to see the damage, but when we are paying this much for these otherwise beautiful models, such issues should not exist. Hopefully NG have seen enough feedback about detached wings and will fix the glue issue.

Awesome releases, loving the increase in government aircraft. The polish air force 737 and Turkish air force a330 are definite buys for me

Checked N543UA on Planespotters and it looks like this ship has already been scrapped. So "n/c" I guess means the Unicon merger colors, not the new livery that's coming out now. I wonder if the UA 787-9 will be in the brand new livery.

I did like the Darth Vader livery, so I may get the U.S. 757. If it will be the brand new livery, I'll get the UA 787-9 as well.

Sweet! I'll be picking up a good number of these as well. Wonder if the EA L-1011 is polished or the white hockey stick livery? I'm hoping for polished but will be getting it either way. I never knew of Ambassador before the requests for this bird on here, but it's such a cool livery I'll be getting that for sure as well.

That's a shame. The glue issue seems to be a common problem with these slotted wings, an issue that doesn't exist with the older cradle moulds of course. The price of progress? The way the paint around the wing fairing/fuselage area can get chipped away and damaged where the part has separated is the real bummer. The bond was obviously sound in that area, evidently there's an uneven application of glue on the part which is further excerbated by the long journey from the factory. I reckon they're being careful not to apply too much glue when attaching these these parts, to prevent it from globbing out onto the finished article. I wonder what grade of glue they're using. Really hope they can get the consistency right.

The eastern is not polished instead it is the white hockey livery.

Indeed, it's in the original 1972 delivery c/s. Polished to come later hopefully, for the mid 80s flavour of the airline's existence.

Another very nice set of releases, thank you NG model! Will be getting the two 1:400 United aircraft. Especially happy to see the PW powered UA 757. This aircraft was often used on West Coast to Hawaii routes, so it will look great at the 3D printed model of Lihue airport I'm planning to make.

Bah, was hoping for a Negus BA TriStar, NG style. Not to worry though, I'm sure they'll be along eventually. Great all round release set never the less. What exactly was the US Airways 'Darth Vader' livery though ?

I received this list with the artwork added, thus was able to confirm what Thatdudeinblue had posted beforehand. I'm sure NGM/BA2936 will post it here soon?

Likewise - but I guess the artwork was already good to go for this release, following G-BLUS. Patience will be rewarded I'm sure. The 'Darth Vader' livery is the black painted fuselage version of the US Airways c/s

Not to get too pedantic on you Andy (too late ) but it's actually a very dark blue. Which doesn't really have much of a tie-in with Darth Vader but nonetheless you're right, that's become the common name for this livery.

Not much I am interested in this round. Some got close but I was hoping for the following:

787-9 American Airlines
787-9 Air New Zealand All Black
A330-300 US Airways with the older dark scheme:

L-1011-200 British in this scheme:

A330-200 Virgin Atlantic.

So some of those came close to it, just off by being a slightly different livery or variant.

A couple for me. The Mexican Air Force 57 is interesting. As is the Landor Tristar.

Ha ha, not at all, Denny. You know how particular I am on certain livery details - not as clued up on this one. Those very dark blues can easily look black, as it does on the artwork. Hopefully, it's very dark blue on there as well The "Darth Vader" moniker is indeed rather ironic in this case

N309EA was the TriStar that suffered a catastrophic #2 engine failure, leading to the loss of 3 out of 4 hydraulic systems. Crew was able to make an emergency landing, with no injuries to all aboard. The aircraft was subsequently returned to service, a testament to the L1011’s design and technologically ahead of its time.

A cool and unique choice in tail number, by NG. Not to mention one that hasn’t been done yet, in the scale.

Anyone interested in additional reading on the incident:

So some of those came close to it, just off by being a slightly different livery or variant.
Same feeling here. I would get a U.S. A333 in the Snazzy Darth Vader Blue livery by NG as well as an AA B789 too. Just the Snazzy Darth Vader B757 for me this time around.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm pretty tired of models in the Unicon merger livery. Never liked the livery and I'm happy to see United moved on to a new livery (although I wish they would have brought the tulip back).

Great set of releases and of which I have my eyes set on a few. Now I hope NG doesn't screw up the batches set out for these models to the various retailers, like they did with the Delta L1011. In fact I hope that's the first and the last time that happens! Still really not happy I lost out on that Delta, so I'm very wary now!

A cool and unique choice in tail number, by NG. Not to mention one that hasn’t been done yet, in the scale.

Anyone interested in additional reading on the incident:

Wow what an interesting background to that tail number. Reminds me of United flight 232, although that incident was far more tragic of course.

Well I guess I need to patiently wait for some bare metal Eastern’s, hopefully in both the narrow and wide hockey stick stripes. Glad to see another Latin 757 in the list. Definitely grabbing the Chinese 787’s, hopefully to main gear will be readjusted for these releases ? All in all I will pickup at least ten of these gems, perhaps 11 or 12. Definitely looking forward to their arrival. ToddCB.

Al, you’ve totally nailed it mate - that scene from Father Ted is EXACTLY what I was thinking of, and made the subtle reference to in my reply! One of my absolute all-time favourite TV shows.

Any chance the Xiamen Air will have a wifi dome as I believe the real one has it?

Great set of releases NG, looks like there is pretty much something for everyone in September! Will take the Ambassador 757 and maybe the hybrid Caledonian. Such unique colours. And of course the Landor Tristar! So glad I held out for the NG version of this as the Gemini and Aeroclassics versions were so tempting.

Looking at the art, I have one modification to suggest. The gray on the underside of the US Airways 757 N625VJ should be a 'cool, bluish' gray, not a 'warm, reddish' gray.

Very much looking forward to seeing the releases!

I wonder if the virgin A330 will have the rooftop dome just above the cockpit like it does on the real one as its not on the computer image.

I'm already ready for the follow on batch. Only the Snazzy Darth Vader 757 interests me this go around.

I think he's talking about fantasy 787s in retro liveries. Seaboard World 787, UTA 787, SPANTAX 787, BOAC 787, and a whole lot more!

Sounding increasingly like Thomas Cook has imploded. A set of model releases such as these may be a fitting tribute.

I really do hope NG release a Thomas Cook A330 (new livery for me but both new and old would be good)

Not only because they have collapsed today but because I flew on one last year to Mexico. Could not fault them and the service was pretty decent. Such a shame for the UK industry - Plus the Gemni version seems to be hard to come by now.
