I paid $13.45 for mine. I can't imagine that was a real bid.

Ebay auction 5 years ago. I guess it wasn't considered rare at that point.

It can't! Seller probably didn't sell it. Afraid there are far too many greedy sellers on E. Bay that think they will pull some mug in that will pay that price, thinking something is 'rare'.
If people really want to sell their items without taking a loss, they should list the starting price at the price they paid for it. E.Bay will dictate whether it is rare or not and at worst, if you only get one bid you will recover your costs.

Yeah, 5 yrs ago when dragon were still releasing diecast model, it probably wasn't rare. I think for the past 1.5 yrs, i've seen it on here like at most 3 times. The last time before this one went for about $70.

I actually had to buy mine from an eastern european model shop and paid more for the shipping cost than the model itself a little more than a year ago....lol....

Yeah, i guess it could've been a fake buyers. I've seen a lot of these sometimes. I mean this guy obviously didn't care about selling it. He just want the highest price he can get. since ebay allows free relisting he didn't have much to lose by starting it at 298 aud.

It always interested me how certain models are so rare.... like why did dragon only made a few of these compared to a lot of the other rockets (delta, etc)....
