All over that Malev and the Baltic. Hopefully the landing gear will be improved on the CS Bombardier.

There's an Alaska ANG C-17 being released as well. Definitely will take that!

Brilliant that Gemini are mixing things up a bit, with the Malev IL-62(after the Convair recently).
Thank you Gemini. For us collectors of older jets.
Please consider an original scheme Tarom, LOT, and an Aeroflot again. Don't think the latter are easy to find.
Could release them under the brand of Gemini Classics!!

I concur with this critique, I personally just can't buy one until I see some improvement. Maybe said improvement will show up this time around. Here's to hoping.

Good lord, sounds like another issue we all had with Gemini's 757 landing gear. Not to worry though. As soon as there's hint of NG possibly releasing an A220, GJ will fix their issues quite quickly!

Why would they need - or even want - to create a separate brand for the same line of products??

Anyone remember Gemini Select? What was that all about? Lower production numbers? Never understood that one.

Still waiting for more military types to be done by GeminiMacs. I'm hoping to see the likes of the Starlifter (obviously), B52 and some Rusky stuff (Blackjack, Backfire and Bear) before I hit my zimmerframe years! There's hope yet!

Why does anyone do anything? There isn't always a reason.

But............most GJ releases are of modern stuff, its hardly separating the brand by calling certain models (perhaps one a month) 'Gemini Classics'.

Its just an idea, I really don't care if they do or don't, to be honest

IIRC, that was in the days of 1500 piece regular releases.

I suspect that at the time, their market research identified subjects that would sell but not in the numbers required for a regular release. I think the Selects were runs of 500-ish.

Presumably the analysis was that a proportion of collectors would get Selects anyway, based on their personal collection criteria, which would make the release profitable enough to do. By sticking the 'Select' name on the box, differentiating it from the usual and making the point that they were very much limited releases, this would hopefully entice others who wouldn't otherwise be interested to pick them up as well.

Once standard releases dropped to 600-ish, the whole point of Selects kinda went away.

At least that is what I assume the rationale was. I expect Crownvic could give us the real story.

Fantastic - always great to see more IL-62 releases. With a bit of luck there'll be more to come - Tarom red titles on white colourscheme, Aeroflot grey mid 90s livery etc....

Back in the day when production ran 1000-2000 pieces Gemini Select was limited to 500.

Ah, thank you!! So it was "limited" releases. I suspect a run of 500 pieces today is considered full production?

Exactly. That describes my first jump, SFC (Death from Above) Doug. Also, I never quite understood what was implied by that phrase....

I pray for an NG A220. Especially considering JC/Gemini have made an atrocious nose and Herpa's landing gear makes me wanna puke

Oh and I forgot to add.... It'd be sooooooo good to see a A400M Atlas done aswell. Just seen this fine beast at RIAT 2019 and the aircraft is an amazing machine. Would look good next to my C17's.
A Voyager wouldnt go amiss either!

And Doug....ill beat the bush with some tree bark on this aswell! Lol

The A400M is a great airplane that underwent agonizing problems and costs in development - hopefully sales will strong and lengthly, at least enough to cover all those costs and headaches. Keep ‘em flying, Doug

All sorts of large military and civil/military still awaiting 1:400 production; The C-141 Starlifter, B-52 bomber, A330-MRTT as well as the A400m 'Scissorhands'. But then of course there's the Soviet military types, but then again we still have a Soviet civil types wish list to address.

You could argue that the Jet2 A330 release qualifies as an MRTT, given that's exactly what the aircraft was purchased to be, and it even still sports it's NATO grey wings and stabs.
