Default Most difficult model for you to find?

I put this thread in the 400 scale section, but any scale can apply to the question. Including military. The most difficult model for you to find. You may not have even found it yet? Which is the case for me. Without question, mine is:

Hogan 1/200 Air Tahiti Nui A340

I have been collecting for many years, and I have never even been close to finding it. If I hadn't seen photos of it, I would doubt it's existence. OK folks, lets hear what yours is.

Going to be the:

BigBird British Airways Landor 747-400 G-BNLC 1:400

I thought about the Canadian Airlines 747-400 1:400 by Aeroclassics but chose not to collect those. The harder ones to get nowadays are the knock off BigBird models.

I'm still trying to find a 1:200 American 757 in the bare metal livery for a halfway decent price. In 1:400 it would be the AC Adria DC-9.

I've been searching for the Phoenix 1:200 Air New Zealand 777-300ER in the Smaug livery for over two years now. I'm starting to wish I collected 1:400 because there are a lot available in that scale.

Lol - too true, whilst later released by Apollo400, again N733PA, "Clipper Pride of the Seas" only 7 were made by Pan Am Models, or the A300-B4-203 by the same Company N211PA "Clipper Houston" only 24 made not to be confused with N211PA "Clipper Orlando" produced by the same Company!

I had most of the hard to find ones in 1:400 and sold them when I decided to get out of 1:400. The hard to find ones don't bring the higher prices like they used to. Occasionally you will see one go for a high price, but not as regularly as they used to!

Anyway, happy hunting!

Preferably Lufthansa, but if not, than any of the JU-52s would do.

I still have not found an Aeroclassics Qantas 747-200 VH-EBR after a couple of years. Used to have it, but regrettably sold it back in college.

Second is also an Aeroclassics 747, but Air Pacific DQ-FJE with Fiji titles on tail. This was the first aircraft I ever flew on too.

My 400 scale headache is the Hawaii Express 747. I have seen it offered a couple of times. Asking price was roughly the same as a basic Toyota.

The two AC/Big Bird Air France 747-100s. I've seen them come up for sale a couple of times through the years on FleaBay, either damaged or @ $200 USD. Not gonna happen.

That's a pity. I sold one of them like 3 months ago. Sold it for what I paid for it. $60. Local collector.

Someone got that for just £20 last month on eBay. Unfortunately I was bidding and took my eye off the ball at the last minute.

I really hope another version is done by AC some day soon.

Still not got it Dave, not that desperate for it to be honest. I periodically check Ebay but not all the time, so inevitably miss them when they come up.

But compared to other Aeroclassics 707s, its definitely one of the harder ones to get.

It seems the 707 mould has been forgotten in recent times, long overdue hopefully, I think Heavylift was the last one, which wasn't too long ago actually.

Aeroclassics Piedmont F-27 Friendship. I must've passed on it when it was released.
I was then looking for one for several years. Eventually one appeared on a Waffle collection sale earlier this year so it came my way.

No actually it's not. I can't remember the name of the company who made it. We have had so many. The 2 Hawaii Express DC-10's are by Jet-X. Not sure why the 747 is minus the pineapple on the tail?

Big Bird British Airways Water Dreaming and Waves & Cranes Utopia 744's. Took me years and a lot of money to finally land them in 2018.

Long before that, circa 2005 I pursued the GJ Virgin Atlantic Concorde whilst everyone else was too, got one in the end. More recently I got the SMAC BA Landor 732 (and then snapped a gear off !). I still cry at night over that one !

I have the Braathens. Adrian, you know as much about this hobby as anyone. What is the deal with that model? Were less made. Everyone is keeping them? I can't find the China Airlines either.

I 'think' the majority were made for a customer in Norway, but don't quote me on it and dealers got the few that were left. Definately not enough made to satisfy demand. About time the 737-200 mould was rolled out again?

This is the model that I am looking for a long time..
It is Panda Models - Air China 737-MAX8 N1786B

I am willing to trade some of my models for it or willing to pay a fair amount of money..
If someone can help me or willing to sell his/her model, PLEASE let me know..

I'm struggling to find the 1/400 Icelandair DC-3 made by either JC or AC. AC was limited so understandable but the JC I thought I would find easier
