Default lufthansa collection snapshot on instagram

I posted a set of pictures on Instagram. Mainly 1/400 Lufthansa diecast models but also other models that are related to Lufthansas history or Frankfurt Airport (few items only) in other scales and some real world stuff.

Please have a look if You are interested :-)

You've got some nice material on there, well done, thanks for sharing. I'm slowly coming around to the new Lufthy scheme but I miss that splash of gold.

You definitely know how to enjoy this hobby! I've now learned a few things. Lufthansa is in the rail business. Hinduja Cargo Services was a Lufthansa-related service. There are some really nice ways to capture these models photographically!

The Star Alliance A319 is a custom? Looks like a Dragon Wings model was used for this?

I also now have an older LH model I will be hunting for just based on one of the photographs I saw.

Thank you for sharing your collection!

Harvey

Thank You very much Harvey!

About the rail business, it was kind of replacement for short haul, inner german flights from '82 to '93. According to what I found out, their slogan of advertisment was "travel at flightlevel zero".

The Hinduja Cargo Services planes had a second tile with "Lufthansa Cargo Venture" (smaller and in light grey letters). It seems that they had used Lufthansa's blue color combined with the German Cargo logo in white.

Yes, the donor model for the Lufthansa STARALLIANCE A319 was a Dragon Wings Sabena A319.

… and of Course best luck for Your hunt!

wbr,
Jan
