Default Big Fokkers: An F100 Wishlist

Despite my grumpiness in the top 5 thread I am definitely not against the concept of wishlists. To that end this month I continue my look at under-used moulds and what could be made. The Fokker 100 mould is still active and in fact Gemini just announced one of my suggestions from this post, which was written before their announcement. Gemini are obviously massive fans of mine so I expect them to jump to producing the rest of the list . Anyway one can live in hope.

Click the link for over 50 potentials on the F100 mould. Don't just look at the pretty picture below!

Nice review of the biggest ‘Lil Fokker’ Richard 😀 Thanks for sharing.
I have to say it is my favourite T-tail twin over the DC-9, 1-11, Embraer 145 etc. It just seems to look the most ‘in proportion’ in terms of length, shape of nose etc.

Anyway my top 3 would be

Swissair Chocolate
TAT (BA Landor)
British Midland (diamond)

British Midland would be top of my list. There were 2 pre-bmi schemes on the Fokkers:

1) Delivery scheme which was the 'Diamond' scheme introduced in the 1980s, with the addition of a thin red pinstripe.
2) The late 90s final 'Diamond' scheme as introduced on the A320/A321s. This had a different shade of blue, a darker grey and a few other changes.

The delivery scheme with the lighter grey would be my preference. The Union Flag below the window line stands out much better on this livery.

I would also add a Royal Brunei to my list above. I don’t think you included that one Richard within your Asia section.

I wish Gemini hadn't jacked up the cockpit on that Austrian release so badly. The AlpiEagles schemes are very cool - I'd definitely pick those up. Wouldn't hurt to have the Transwede, Helvetic and Carpatair examples come my way either. I posted this on the blog itself, but the Portugalia has been made:

https://www.diecastmodelaircraft.com/db/model/17145

But good luck getting hold of one since it was an exclusive run. I managed to find it at the same time I got my TAP L-1011.

More F-100's aren't a big priority for me. I flew on them on both USAir and AA, and I have the Gemini's of both in my Rochester section. I did not realize until I saw a comment in the Yesterday's Airlines comments, that the F-100 had made it into US's Darth Vader colors. That and the Midway are the only two possibilities for me.
