Default BA/BEA A319 100yrs

Just arrived. The Blue Box 1/400 scale release of one of the 4 special liveries to mark the 100 years of service.
Quite a nice little model but lacks the aerials that are now becoming commonplace on this scale.

Saw this at LGW2019 the other day on the ARD table. I had already pre-ordered or would have picked it up there and then. Looking forward to it arriving this week sometime. I guess the 'no antenna' proves it's Aeroclassics in origin. No doubt someone else will produce an antenna version soon.

I'm curious when the GJ 747s will be available for pre-order. Hopefully soon.

Fantastic looking airplane! The under-wing detailing looks amazing and the splash of red is very iconic. Thanks for posting, I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for one of these.

GJ also said the A320 would be coming as well. Might just pick up GJ's version I guess.

Hooray! Mine arrived today. Very nice it is too but unfortunately one of the engines had detached so some remedial work was necessary. Wood glue usually does the trick so fingers crossed it will be secure. The lack of antennae doesn't bother me though AC moulds could do with a bit of a landing gear upgrade.

Looking forward to the other retro jets being released.

You could always take it in to BAMG for a repair. The real thing is currently checked in for maintenance, then going to LGW for a base spell.

Edited to add: Apparently not in BAMG til July but currently operating an LGW service to Alicante as I write.

Mine has arrived this morning. Very nice, even if I did have to reattach the nose tyres straight away.. .

Oh my God, I love that background! Is that a hangar? Imagine if you had scaffolding kits as well

Do these guys use a different painting technique to other companies? I don't know if its the photos but it seems of a more poorer quality. Unless it's just because of the 1/400 scale.

Never use macro photos to judge the quality of anything!! Even a pretty face can be made to look pitty, poury, and ugly!!

As for the paint, it is the best available in China!!

From these comparisons I would not say the model has “massive” (oversized) engines but it all depends on your point of view.
