Default AeroClassics Speculations for April 2019

Seems Mata Hari has been temporarily bounced from 400SH while it undergoes upgrades, so the famous monthly speculating has migrated here.

April's releases are actually out of China enroute to the distributors, however the shipment has been bogged down in a swamp in Scotland for some reason.

Here's what's been reported by Mata Hari;

C- , D- , DQ- , EI- , G- , N , SU- , TC- , VP- & 4R-

So far one has been let out of the bag, EI-EDY, an A330-300 in Aer Lingus n/c.
There are 2 more "EI-" still to guess!!
Any Bingos this month?

Fiji, eh? Nice.
Anything Air Pacific would do, but I'll guess their 762 with the swordfish tail this time around.

NWA final livery 757-200, A319, A320, or DC-9-50 in the mix?

Would have quoted Andrew’s post regarding ARDs stand at Gatwick Enthusiasts fair but seems to have been deleted already!
Anyway, hopefully the following for the UK market I would also snap that Air Pacific up in an instant.

Would be nice if they were also Aer Lingus, A320 and A321, but given the sheer volume of EI reg's on internationally leased airliners, they could be just about anything.

VP?! 👀 have to think this is a Bermuda or Cayman registered aircraft as theres not a lot registered in the Falklands or BVI... perhaps an Aeroflot Airbus? ALL of my fingers are crossed for a Cayman Airways Max!!

SU, EgyptAir A320 in current colours?

Looking like an expensive month for me either way.

Unless it was already in the works, I imagine it probably takes a couple months from concept to product. By the by, I'm definitely with you on this one. I'm also now hoping that AC eventually releases Hawaiian 10's.

Ha! Someone will make it one of these days I'm sure, the livery is too beautiful and the significance of being the first Max in the region make it hard to ignore.

After AC did the Mauritania Max a few months ago my hopes were raised. Itd be a difficult model to do with the details in the crest but given both how well the last KX 1:400 model sold and the number of US destinations we're serving these days I'm sure a new KX model would sell extremely well.

I'm hoping the G- might be a Britannia B762 and/or British Caledonian DC-10.

For the EI-, it would be nice to finally see a standard livery Ryanair B732.

Hopefully not another Lufthansa in the dull new scheme .

Thumbs up Re: AeroClassics Speculations for April 2019

...including 5 L-1011's no less TWA, Air Canada, Air Lanka and N305EA, the development aircraft - will this be with BEA titles or Court Line titles I wonder. I see the TWAs are N31001, an early delivery airframe from 1972 but marked as a -100, as with N81026 (1975 delivery), also marked as a -100...Interestingly a quick bit of research shows that N81026 remained in the original Twin Globes scheme until at least 1981, going by the date of one photo I found. It was also leased to Lockheed for a sales tour in 1975 for a spell, in a modified livery with Lockheed titles. Interesting subject for a release. Cannot wait to see photos of these!

EDIT: Just noticed that one TWA L-1011 is shown as 'Twin-Globes' c/s

You probably only need to wait a few hours, or at max a day or two, to see actual photos before pre-ordering.

That said, if the AC L1011's are as good as their DC10's, they'll be outstanding.
