There are some good suggestions on here and some I'd forgotten about like Monarch cheatline and Airtours. I knew you guys would have some great thoughts on what to make.

I would say a few things:

a) Are there really any rare A330 models? You may have missed them on original creation but I haven't come across any A330s that are more difficult to acquire than any other 1:400 made already. I have acquired most of mine 2nd hand. In that light remakes really don't seem that worthy especially if they were made multiple times previously. Certainly not at the cost of new models anyway.

Aeroflot for example. There have been 4 A330s in that scheme already made by 3 manufacturers. If you don't have one then you probably have just not been looking!

Building your fleet on registrations may be your thing but trust me you are a massive outlier. Almost nobody is going to buy lots of the the same model with a different rego. If NG did what you are asking they'd be fools.

b) This new mould is no threat to Aeroclassics whatsoever. It is a major threat to Phoenix, Panda and JC Wings. Especially the former who seem to be struggling.

c) Goose could you stop posting hundreds of photos of Avianca? We get it you like the airline. I don't need to see 4 photos of essentially the same plane in every thread aimed at NG Models.

d) Also annoying is people constantly asking for new moulds from NG. They don't have an A330F and they have no sensible reason to make one when Panda and JC have one. NG aren't the golden goose who constantly lays golden eggs. Any other mfr would be on the breadline with the number of moulds NG have been kicking out. Surely even their funding is not limitless and people constantly asking for new moulds of types well covered (A330F, A350) is annoying when there are loads more much more obviously needed moulds to be made.

Sorry for the rant. I'm obviously feeling grumpy today!

I do agree with this. I was hoping NG would have continued with the classic types, perhaps working on the definitive 747 mould(s), or maybe an MD80. Maybe we'll still eventually get there.

You're pretty bad at concealing your contempt for AC. But let's indulge your nonsense for just a minute, anyway. In the last 12 months, how many A330's has Aeroclassics released??

Zero (0)

So yes, it seems you're right!! Aeroclassics stands to lose fortune because of this new NG mould!! Since it's clearly one of their core products.

Yeah, I'm gonna second this one.

You need not make 4 posts, with 4 photos, with 4 identical angles, of the same exact plane.

Just throwing my suggestions in. Glad to see others have suggested these too so would expect them to be good sellers.

Jet2
Thomas Cook
Qatar Amiri Flight

Also Virgin Atlantic, Qatar Airways and Aer Lingus would be excellent sellers, though wouldn't interest me personally.

a) AeroClassics Lufthansa A330-300s and A340-300s. Forget about GJ and Dragon Wings examples. If Panda releases an LH A343, I will snap one up for sure! AeroClassics SAS A340-300s are impossible to find at sensible prices. Then Panda came in and saved the day!

b) NG A330s are threats to all manufacturers that produce A330s, AeroClassics included. I highly doubt AK sent NG a personal invitation to help him fill the market with more A330s. You forgot GJ in your list of A330 releasers. GJ wouldn't be having a s&#t fit with NG entering the game?

c) Agree. Otherwise I would be posting C-141B pics every other day.

d) Gimme a flippin C-141B in 1/400 scale!!!

I agree, ng can't be expected to release 4 similar aircraft in the space of a few weeks as they wouldn't sell well, that's just not good business. However, there is the potential in a year or two where they can rerelease some models with possibly different registrations. I would quite like to build up a large jet2 and Ryanair fleet using the ng 737 mould, but I cant expect them to release them all in a few months. I'm willing to wait XD

appreciated the new mould and again the outstanding detailings...it will provide, I will wait year or more for my favorite to come instead of buying current so so models…(with some exception like panda model as it is close to be perfect)

Your to arrogant to work with collectors and what they want. The models your making are FULL of errors and getting worse. So we will see how you react to this new competition from NG Models (happy back on topic!). We await AC to flood the market with A330's now. Go back to your original AC product and make ppl happy again......

I'm all for constructive criticism, but you really do love having a pop at AC. Why even bring it up on a thread about a new NG mould? If you want to do a spiel on the "death of AC" then wait for the new mould to come along, do a comparison and start another thread, but let it go on this one, it distracts from the original piece by Richard.

As to the new mould, don't see a problem with it. It doesn't fit my collecting criteria, but if NG concentrate on liveries not catered for by other manufacturers then there's a space for them in the market.

We can close this topic by simply requesting for NG Models to make a model of every A330 ever flown with every registration. That would satisfy everyone!

Likewise, but I didn't get the Gemini either, so would welcome one of these.

That's two I'd definitely buy now, how wrong I was....

I'll take a BMI A330 as well as long as the large BMI logo is metallic blue as per the real thing. Gemini got that bit right at least. And hey how about a fantasy release BMI full livery 757 ? Hey it very nearly happened !

First delivered was G-WWBM, my preference, but that one has been done twice, so to expand the appeal maybe it should be G-WWBD or G-WWBB.

I reccomend G-WWBB or G-WWBM. Personally I would like to see it with the additional 'british midland' titles included (and without the web address), as they were for the first few years after delivery.

G-WWBD wore Star Alliance livery for most of it's time with bmi, so is not as representative as 'BB or 'BM.

Fantasy models Al - control yourself mate! NG please don't waste resource on that until you are out of real 757s to make.

Agreed. Stick to real subjects for now!

Hispania 757 was real. Hint, hint 🙂

Thus far, in my opinion only Panda models has the best A330 in 1:400. Not a big fan of AC, GJ, JC, and Phoenix. Lets hope NG can beat Panda

It's about the only A330 I own I'd replace.

Good point, the full 'british midland' logo would be more desireable. Let's say we see one with and one without and using two reg's ? You could release a third in white Star Alliance livery too.

Oh come off it, just because you don't collect fantasy releases ! There are tons of fantasy releases out there and have been well received over the years. Look at all of those Concordes, Braniff jellybeans etc etc, not to mention all the 'nearly real' releases of pre-entry to service types that become fantasy releases by virtue of a livery change. I think the Gemini American Airlines pre-new livery 777-300 release ended up being highly sought after. I do however draw the line at those blinged up golden editions that appeared for a while several years ago.

We can definetly agree to disagree on this issue, for sure.

It would effectively be the full red, white and blue livery applied to a 757. It was never done in real life, although I believe there were some 'artistic' renderings done around the time BMI leased their 757's. I seem to remember seeing one in an in-flght magazine a while ago.

Saw something similar for a British Caledonian 752 Al in full livery, quality, can I find it on the internet.....no!! There are some fantasy models that are worth consideration!! But appreciate there are many mainstream liveries that collectors are wanting (apologies off topic on the A330 thread!)

I thought this thread was about the new NG Models Airbus A330-200/ 300 mould and not about 'fantasy' B757 models right?

But if were going to talk about unusual B757 operators than why can we not see this model then: Air Aruba B757-200 with registration # G-IEAB leased from carrier Air Holland.. NG Model are you listing?

I do agree with Mr Stretton on this 100% and no you're not grumpy but have made a very valid point!

I can't remember the last fantasy release that was made that wasn't a fantasy only because the airline ordered something and the manufacturers rushed to be first, produced the model before the real thing came out and then the airline changed their livery. Hardly real fantasy releases at all and just cynical ploys to part people with their cash first.

I think the Concordes are a special case most of the time (actually AV400 did make a CAAC Concorde recently come to think of it) and Jet-X were mad. Anyway each to his own but for me, and I suspect most collectors fantasy models are a waste of Zinc.

Back on topic to some degree here are all the NG Samples I have together:

Ever since NG announced the beluga XL i suspected an A330 mould was in the works as well. If this mould is as good as the 757 and the 787, there will certainly be a few models i'd be interested in.
My top would be Air Seychelles, Air Greenland and Air Caraïbes in the newest livery!

This one is a must - can't believe I forgot it. Skyservice of Canada operated the first A330 in the Americas back in 1997:

It has been made only by Dragon Wings on their rubbish mould
