The CargoLux is interesting, but getting slightly fed up with the "We'll eventually get you your model"

Example...

A330-200F House Colors
A330-300F ASL/DHL
A330-200F DHL/EAT
747-8 Turkish Gov.
747-400F SF Airlines

But hey I'll continue to wait.

It is getting ludicrous. I spoke with my JC Wings contact and asked about 14 specific models in their enormous backlog of announced releases. Not a single one was close to release and he couldn't tell me when they were likely to be released. Sadly that included the Aer Lingus MD-11.

I'd prefer they don't announce and produce the models when they are near ready as everyone else does. After all some releases appear to get fast-tracked, or never announced at all, - usually Chinese ones. This FAT 757 is an example of that.

The Shanghai 707 interests me but it must be using the awful Gemini mould too

Also why the f**k are they releasing an Air Transat 757 months after AC did it when they've shown no interest in Canada for years. It is childish and pointless too. They could have done Nationair or something if they want to undercut the competition. What is the rationale here?

Waffle currently has 130 models on JC's 1:400 pre order tab and 105 1:200 pre-orders.

It's a ridiculous at this point. Some of those pre orders have been up there since early 2018. As soon as someone releases a new livery or aircraft, JC announces it but then it takes four years to get it to collectors. I've been dying for the two DHL A330s since they were announced but by the time they are released who the hell even knows if I'll still be collecting.

And I thought Herpa was bad, but damn.

I’m happy I went for the Panda DHL A330. It’s on a better mould too.

I don’t think Herpa is as flexible but they were the only ones who ever made a 747 Lufthansa new livery in 1:400... sure it was a corporate model but god damn why has no one made the new livery 747-400 in 1:400. The new livery 747-400 is out in 1:200 and 1:500!!!??? Isn’t 1:500 harder to replicate models on since it’s smaller im so confused

I don't take JC announcements seriously any more. When I see photos of arrived models in stock at Waffle, then I take those seriously.

JC should not announce any more models until all of their backlog--including, ahem, the Swissair chocolate colors MD-11--are produced and in stock at retailers.

Jim

Completely agree. I rushed to order on release around March last year, and absolutely no news since. I'll never pre-order a JC wings again.

As for the Air Transat 757 release - that's just crazy coming so close after the Aeroclassics release of the same model (as RStretton points out) - even the registration is the same Anyway, I'll not be replacing my Aeroclassics TSC 757, if this copycat release should ever see the light of day.....

I am told that this Air Transat 757 will actually not be the same livery as the Aeroclassics one. Still a curious choice but perhaps just coincidence.

Ed Zachary - I had the JC 400 Aer Lingus MD-11 on order with ezToys for over a year, finally cancelled, and immediately got my PayPal refund. Some of the JC 400 moulds/releases are outstanding, but like Jim, I won't bother with any further pre-orders. Doug

I wonder what House Colors the MD-90 represent, i always thought it to be blue/ green House Colors not purple so it seems i never seen one in those colors mentioned before.. i also agree with the members above, the Aer Lingus MD-11 is way overdue, perhaps we won't see it anytime soon i guess or never..

Not necessarily. Surely they acquired the Av400/Witty mould during that factory take-over?

I was hoping the Cargolux would've been the 747/8 and in the standard ( non advert) livery.

I can't find it from an American retailer or I would have gotten it by now.

Panda also released some nice looking Boeing Field fire trucks and I can't find those.

Panda doesn't have any US retailers. I bought it from China.

Makes sense. Guess I need to get over my 'not buying out of country' logic or stop bi tching and wait for JC.

Good catch! 1990’s MD-90 House Colors were in deed and in fact green and blue. The purple/pink/gold livery was actually worn by the MD-80 on Fuse #909 in the late 80’s. The “Purple” livery was the winning colors that were a last minute entry submitted from an MDC employee in the contest for the next corporate livery. The MD-11 also wore the very same. She used the colors she had on hand in her make-up case, so it truly has a woman’s touch.

P.S. I’m still waiting on the Finnair from JC in my signature below

OK, not meaning to kick a hornet's nest, but the current thought is that the Panda A330 is a counterfeit clone of AeroClassic's, and inquiring minds want to know: Is the HYJL (Panda) A321-200 also thought to have a similar genealogy? Over, Doug

The HYJL A321 is not a clone of the AeroClassics one but it is possible that the Panda A321 is a clone of the HYJL. But in my opinion it is too different to be a clone.

But the 777 does have the 767 nose. They share the same section 41.

Default Re: JC 400 February and Future Releases

I mean that the 777 mould is weird I do have the Air France cargo and aerologic but they are ugly, unfortunately no other brand make them. I really want the ANA cargo & Lufthansa cargo new releases but unless JC wings have changed the mould I don’t think I will get them anyone knows if they have a new 777-200F mould ? Thanks

thank you
The Boeing 777 nose is the 767 nose, that's what Boeing did.

For anyone interested, the Cargolux Sea Life Trust was released in China for a while now and I received my copy in Canada today. This model is amazing and has a bit more detail than geminis. JC has done the same thing as Phoenix and added as many attenas as they can for realism. Photos attached:

Looks like they will. The Box has a check mark box for the white cargolux as another option. Hopefully we see it soon
