Re: Guess, what new mould is NG going to bring you
I'll confess that the 737-800 is not a high priority, in my view. There are 737-800 moulds out there, and vast numbers of liveries have been done.
But, no doubt, NG will make a 737-800 mould that will outdo what we've seen so far. For that reason, I'd buy Southwest Airlines Canyon Blue and AirTran Merger liveries, so there are at least two.

It might be good to make scimitar winglets sooner rather than later. Many 738's have those, including high-profile North American 738 operators like Southwest and WestJet. I think it would be good marketing to have scimitar winglets available along with the regular winglets as soon as possible.

Re: Guess, what new mould is NG going to bring you
I take it there's no reason why this mould couldn't form the basis of a 737-8 Max ? With a change to the engines and winglets to Split Scimitar, which could also be used on the 738 anyway. I understand the Max 8 Scimitars are slightly different to the retrofitted version on the 738 but in this scale probably barely noticeable...

The rear fuselage is different as well so it isn't just a case of sticking new gear and engines on it.

Indeed so Richard, is it a discernible enough difference in 1:400 scale though ? I'm looking at a GJ 737-8 Max alongside a Phoenix 737-800 and can't see any difference. Not that I'm suggesting that as good business on the part of the GJ mould. I haven't looked at an Aeroclassics Max yet, due to poor overall reviews. Do they nail it in respect of the fuselage ?

Re: Guess, what new mould is NG going to bring you
I would personally like to see a Southern Air/DHL 737-800BCF. Rumor has it there are a few ordered, but I don't know if it'll be the hybrid DHL colors like the 777 or the full DHL colors like the 737-400.

I have reviewed all the current 737 MAX moulds over at Diecast Flier. For me the Panda and JC Wings/Gemini moulds are miles ahead of the Phoenix with the Aeroclassics bringing up the rear. See: https://thediecastflier.com/?s=MAX
The tailcone is very different on the MAX - long and pointy rather than squared off as in the 737Ng - they look very different imho. All the new MAX moulds are ok in that respect.

Re: Guess, what new mould is NG going to bring you
Greetings,
A new 737-800 mould is exactly what the doctor ordered. Knowing how picky NG is with their moulds, I am sure this will be a great one !! But if I may nit pick a bit from the single computer image, the nose gear looks a little tall and not quite like a plane on the ground, but very close, and the main gear look a little too straight up and down, they should have just a slight angle to them, almost like it’s dragging on the ground. Furthermore if any close up photos are ever needed of a 737-800 or 737-8MAX, please let me know. My company has around 300 in the fleet, I’m sure I can find what ever angle, or shot you may have questions about. Really excited about this, keep the ball rolling NG, and don’t ever let your standards fall short, these new generation moulds are truly revitalizing the hobby, at least they are for me, Sincerely Todd.
P.S. We really need a new 727-100/200.....

Re: Guess, what new mould is NG going to bring you
I'd kinda like to see an ordinary vanilla Qantas 738 in the 1984-2007 livery.
Pretty much all the one-off special liveries on this scheme have been covered in the past, but the standard unadorned livery that made up the bulk of the fleet has never been done.
Re: Guess, what new mould is NG going to bring you
Thank you for your criticism, I now labeled as more 3D drawing for your reference, welcome more comments, help the product to become the best mold. 737-800.

Ng,
Thank you for the additional computer renderings, when I return to work on Thursday I will take some photos and compare them with your renderings, everything other then the landing gear (which only needs minor tweaking) looks great off the top of my head. I will try to include a ruler in some of the photos to take the guess work out of the equation. Thank you, Todd

Will there be a stand hole on the model?

Re: Guess, what new mould is NG going to bring you
The world has plenty of expensive, space-consuming 1:200, including classics. NG should focus on what others except AC at their best *aren't* doing--very high-quality 1:400.

Once again I bow to your knowledge, I must admit I hadn't even noticed the extended tail cone, having been drawn to the more obvious differences in the winglets and engine cowls. It all makes sense now, so an 800 it is then.
