It's great to be getting some Seaboard releases again and the addition of last month's C-46 brings the fleet up to 4. Major holes remain to be filled with Seaboard & Western L-1049 and C-54s notably absent as well as some stretch CL-44s and DC-8s. The C-46 will be the subject of tomorrow's detailed review over at Diecast Flier.
For now I have written about Seaboard before here:
I am very pleased how my Seaboard World fleet is coming together as well.
All these were seen at Heathrow in the '60s and '70s. Now we just need a Seaboard World DC-8-63. Having said that, will AC or GJ ever get around to converting their Britannia mould into a Canadair CL-44, as I would love to have them in Seaboard World and Flying Tiger colours?

The missing B.707s still needed to be done in 1/400: Uganda Airlines, Luxair,
DC-8s still needed to be done in 1/400: UAT, Iberia ('80s scheme), Air Ceylon, Air Spain, Seaboard World (-63CF)
Aeroclassics Comets still missing- Dan Air (4 & 4C), United Arab Airlines/Misrair/Egyptair, Kuwait AW, Sudan AW, East African AW, Saudi Royal Flt.
Why bother with a Britannia, when there are so many more Emirates A380's left to make!! Surely the collectors demand different registration #31
By the by - for those of us that are unfamiliar, what all would go into converting a Britannia into a CL-44??
Well you have to try! Easy peasy converting the Britannia mould to a CL-44. Fuselage is just a little longer and change the engines from Bristol Proteus to RR Tynes - castings already available on the AC Vickers Vanguard mould. The cockpit windows are different, but can be depicted by printing. A relatively easy exercise to get more mileage out of the redundant Britannia mould!

Lovely photos - would take a DC-8-63 which I saw many times, along with the 747 freighters (I must have missed that one - looks very nice).
Both Aeroclassics/ Big Bird and Gemini made the Seaboard World 747 'Containership', the AC version wears small Saudia leased titles. I have the GJ version as I like straightforward fleet liveries and it is a fine model. Both often come up on E. Bay.

Here we go as promised this week's detailed review covers the Seaboard World C-46. Lovely little model and interesting airframe being one of a kind with Seaboard:
Got it, and love it ! I would add a little criticism to your overall excellent review, AC omitted to paint some white panels under the front fuselage and engine nacelles, and main gear doors where white too. A small mistake, but still a great little model.

Are you sure the maingear doors were white? They look silver in the photos of the real thing to me.

Not pure white, maybe rather light grey, but definitely not silver according to the pics provided in your link. Looking closer it may even be only the outer door which was painted this way, the inner (ie closer to fuselage) door looks silver. Maybe some Seaboard World or C-46 expert here could help us ?

Quite correct - undercarriage doors and panels on nose were light grey - see here. Roof titles should be thinner too.
