Default Lufthansa D-ABOB First 707

Found the perfect "accessory" for my Aeroclassics DLH Boeing 707-430, D-ABOB.

My brother found it at a garage sale and bought it for $.25.

Great find! That's a really stunning piece of memorabilia. Great model too.

I'd love to see if anyone else has a model and a piece of memorabilia that go together like this.

My partner bought me a Boeing factory workers hat that I believe they were giving away as part of an open day in the 70's. It's from the 757/747 production line and is in the house colours of the time. Currently waiting on the NG house livery 757 to go with it.

Very cool. I need some 757s myself.

It's fun to be able to match up memorabilia with airplane models. Here are a couple more artifacts from the 1:400 collection.

Thanks mate. Grew up with KLM as my father worked for them in the 50s and 60s. My mother is Dutch so we traveled on them quite a bit visiting relatives and such.

Fantastic piece. Stuff I usually see at Collectible shows that cost a fortune.

I'm among the Lufthansa fans. This A380 is one-third of my 1/200 collection, and it and the flag were gifts. I liked snowghost's glass Lufthansa tray so much that I found and bought one on eBay for $20 - 80 times what he paid for it, but it's still an elegant piece. The Lufthansa design touch as displayed on their memorabilia from the 1960s is hard to beat. Doug

Nice find. Funny how that works sometimes. On one of our trips my dad got a Lufthansa cordial glass that I was fond of using whenever I was at my parents. I accidentally broke it and was so bummed.

But fate was with me and I found an exact duplicate on eBay the same day 🙂

Here we go, not a first but a last flight. The final British Airways Boeing 757 revenue service on October 30th 2010. I was on board, and received this certificate from the crew. Unfortunately it got a little crumpled in my bag, you can also see the now almost completely faded boarding pass stub top right. The BA Negus 757 is a big favourite of mine, I remember seeing the first flight in 1983 and pictured are models of G-CPET (the retro edition)from Gemini Jets, I also have the 1:500 version.
