Question Can you recommend a shop in England that buys diec

I’ve got probably around a hundred 1:400s, and around fifty 1:200s and other scales, which are worth a few thousand pounds. I’m looking to sell about three-quarters of them to make space and raise money over the next few months.
I figure it would be easier to pack up one hundred models and take them to one shop, than to post them individually through Ebay.
I’ve seen that Rails in Sheffield buy collections, but I live in Bristol so would prefer somewhere south of the Midlands.
Nearly all of them are less than a year old, still in excellent condition with the original boxes.
Thanks for your advice.

Don't know about shops buying collections, but why not book a table at a collectors fair ? There's one at Gatwick (Crawley) on April 22nd. Others later on too, such as the Heathrow fair at Kempton Park.

I believe Greg can help you out. He has a pre-owned model section on his site.

Thank you all for the tips; there's some useful advice here. I know Greg and ARD so shall start cataloguing and making plans.

The biggest difficulty will be deciding which models can go; I need to sell about three quarters, but only want to sell about one quarter! They're on several shelves, and whenever I receive a new model, I anguish over which model to demote to the second or third shelf.

A lot of them are beautiful and some of them I've been on myself but it's an addictive hobby. I'd like to get some living space back instead of living in a hangar, and want to spend the money on flying lessons.

Luckily my favourite planes aren't available in 1/400th otherwise my collection might've been twice as big; I would love to have owned fighter jets, executive jets, and experimental/rare planes like TSR-2, Bristol 188, Fairy Delta, Bristol Brabazon, Aerion AS2, and particularly JASDF Kawasakis etc which often come in random scales like 300/350.

Thanks for your input, David.
