Question Is my Gemini 727’s nose deformed?

A while ago I bought a Gemini National Air 727, as it was the only Boeing 7x7 model that I didn’t have in 1/400th. A while later I saw a Gemini Dan Air 727 and bought that, as I’ve wanted any Dan Air model for a while. However now I’ve got it, I’ve been staring at her for ages thinking there’s something about it that I didn’t like. Yet they’re both from Gemini 727 moulds. But either one mould has a different shaped nose than the other, or maybe it’s an optical illusion from the shape of cheat lines. I think that the National 727 has an attractive round nose, and the Dan Air model looks like the nose is flattened.
What do you think?
Have they come from different moulds or am I imagining it?
If so, do you think the National one looks better?

Something isn’t right with the Dan Air. It looks shortened/flattened/stubby. Seems almost BAC 1-11-esque. Other than the tail seam, their old 722 was awesome. Somewhere along the line, the mold changed or got tweaked. The end result is a BAC 1-27 Buccaneer. Precisely why I haven’t bought a 1:400 Dread-imi Jets for over 6 years.

I do have models of both 727-200 moulds GJ used and the nose is identical.

Maybe a factory worker dropped that casting nose down on the floor before it got painted?

I can see the difference. It is subtle but it is there.

The "nose" is a damageable area because it's pointy. When the model's fuselage is being polished the "nose" gets a new design in the twinkling of an eye if the worker doesn't pay attention. Keep in mind that they often don't care. For them it's just a piece of metal.

Not sure where they inject the raw material... nose section?

I think it might be an optical illusion as the Danair has white and gray coming together and the stripe going all the way around the front of the nose. The national's nose is all white with a sharp stripe coming to a point near the nose that accentuates the point of the nose. Try comparing the Danair to another GJ 727 with similar livery.
