Not to be "that guy" and point out flaws, but do the new 535C pylons look particularly chunky, therefore making the engines look unrealistically low-slung, under the wings??

Attached photos of an ebay listing of N505EA, as well as the real thing.

Yes maybe a bit too long on the pylon for the 535C, something not apparent on the E4 motors versions. Possibly a refinement for future releases ?

Hmm. In those photos you included, the 535C’s and pylons look way better than the Boeing demonstrator one in my post above.

I guess time will tell, once I get it in hand! My UPS tracking number jumped from 3 day delivery estimate, to 12 day delivery estimate, and now no delivery estimate. Yikes, haha. I guess it’ll get here when it gets here.

I usually collect Icelandair, Scandinavian airlines and Lufthansa's group, I occasionally have bought BA Landor, and now I'm regretting to don't have bought Negus too.

We will optimize this detail and expect the new product to look better starting in November.

We're looking at whether to upgrade the packaging to a uniform style, same color same style, just different plane picture and name. Do you like that packing?

I like the packaging design you used for this month’s releases. The most important thing, though, is the durability of the packaging.

Yes, it's wonderful, and I'm hoping that NG will reproduce other Icelandairs, as TF-FIR

I'm sure they'll do TF-FIR eventually but might be worth waiting a while seeing as Gemini still have it for sale. Whilst the new Gemini 757 upgrade has immeasurably improved their product, I feel their main undercarriage gears are still a tad too big, certainly compared to the NG who seem to have captured the daintiness of the 757 undercarriage nicely.

Good to hear that aspect of the 757 tooling will be improved, and again thanks for the attention to detail. We've seen over sized pylons on other manufacturers moulds too, most of which go uncorrected for months if not years.

I must say I've been really impressed with what I've seen of the new style packaging after the tin boxes ran out. My vote would be for them to continue, but at the end of the day I suppose these are more expensive to design and produce than a generic type box. Up to you to decide I guess ?

Tin boxes please. Set yourself apart from the others. Gladly pay a little more to have them.

Delta Flight Museum, ATLANTA GA.

Here's another shot.

Off-topic, but when I went to see that museum, I didn't have very high hopes - figured it'd be kinda lame. But, I was proven wrong, that museum is outstanding. Absolutely worth the visit.

Either tin or paper boxes are fine with me. But the cradle should remain foam both top AND bottom. Foam offers much better protection for landing gear, etc. than do plastic-bubble cradles. I seem to remember seeing a photo of a more recent release with a foam bottom and plastic-cradle top. Both top and bottom should be foam.

YES!!!

The most important part of the box is top and bottom foam. Completely agree here.

I am flying down from Ohio just for the day to visit the museum. There is also an airline collectibles show and sale going on at the museum that day, the 6th.

Also, NG, I too would pay more for tins as opposed to boxes, but I do like your current boxes.

I am a little concerned that the window line has been printed a little too high on the starboard slide of this. Does anyone else think the same? Titles seem pushed up too high. Hope this will not be like the GJ BA Negus Tridents?

The titles seem a little bit squashed as well. I don't know what it is about the BA Negus titles but somehow to me they rarely look 100% right on models.

Most of the European and US retailers have recieved their shipments. I don’t think, though, ARD in the UK has received theirs either. I would assume it would be very soon.

It is what it is, NG Models, welcome to the World of DA.C - if it ain't perfect, we'll let you know. Difference here is that NGM accepts criticism and responds. The other producers seem to be responding, too. Are we entering the Golden Age of diecast airliners? Mayhap, Doug

I got e-mail from my retailer saying the same. For me, it may mean early next week. I'll post photos once the models arrive.

Regarding the packaging for future releases, may I suggest going back to top and bottom foam packaging like you used to do for the releases in the tin boxes? This month's releases I see had only bottom foam packaging with the top piece being plastic. (See the image below)

I agree with your statement, please go back using top and bottom foam packaging, the plastic doesn't stay secure to the foam.

Me too, I'll expect the usual ten days or so transit time from China to Bonnie Scotland then.

Due to DHL delay I'm waiting for them since 9 days instead of usual 6 days from Holland to Verona (North Italy)

My package of 7 NG Models arrived from Waffle today. I'll get pictures up as I can.

British Airways Negus 757-200. Superlative, absolutely beautiful.

Next, Eastern 757-200 with "757" tail. Color is excellent--both Ionosphere (dark) blue and Caribbean (lighter) blue rich and correct.

Looking good Jim, and as fresh as the real thing did the first day I saw her 35 years ago on her debut arrival at GLA in Feb 1983 !

Next, the Republic 757-200. Sadly, I need to note that the red is very off. The red is a bright, straight red, contrary to my repeated notes in the pre-production thread that the actual color is reddish-brown, *not* straight red. I'm 50, I was there in 1984-1986, and I saw Republic planes and materials. I know the color.

The blue and the gray are perfect, and the model has NG's usual terrific detailing.

It's a 3-day weekend in the United States, so I have a few days to think about what to do.

And on virtually the same spot almost 28 years later, G-CPET in the old livery for one last farewell...
