Interesting...... won't be getting one though.

This one is definitely not a re-release.

I want other SIA models~!

I'd prefer a 772/773 twinpack~!

Is this model the one with the BA livery on the other side?

Since this is a new mould for DW, I hope the A310 is soon to come.

Nevertherless, not sure whether to get one or not.........prefer a B777-300 re-release and a B777-200 n/c too.

If this model has SQ on both sides then it will be a fantasy model. In any case I am going for the GJ version as I have GJ BA and AF concordes in my collection.

This looks like a better mould than Gemini Jets. I guess the majority of the liveries will all be fantasy considering they can't make BA models. Air France will probably be the only non-fantasy concordes if they make any.

Ya, the door is too high & big. It doesn't make sense. Anyway, i have pre-order the GJ's one some time ago.

I am not a plastic wing fan, I wonder what DW did on that particular model.

I will wait for the GJ version to be released.

Looks pretty good. I might wait for the Gemini release though. I don't think Dragon can do a British Airways airplane.

Default Concorde

I do not know if anybody else notice this, but the door looks to high and big. I didn't know that SIA is flying the concorde, I wonder if Air france and BA are selling their planes to SIA

Lightbulb Know your history!

Singapore Airlines is not buying the Concorde's from Air France, or British Airways.

In the late 1970s British Airways, and Singapore Airlines shared 2 Concorde's; thus the Concorde's "G-BOAD" and "G-N94AD" were painted SIA colours on the port side, and the BA colours on the starboard side.

Heh heh--we only get perfect left-side photos. I can't help but think maybe there's some unlicensed BA paint on the right side...

That would be really sweet. This mould looks much better than Gemini's, and if there's a BA redtail on the other side, I'll definately opt for this one - instead of GJ's.

Default GJ or DW

If it's 1.400 scale and a Concorde.....then I'm in for both types.

I've got the two from Gemini BA and AF and both are nice models but have to admit even with the 'what appears to be' slightly larger doors on the DW version...she does look sweet.

I wonder who will produce the early protype and production variants so that the liveries that never flew would look in place on the correct shape aircraft.??

Would love to see a 'gift set' of all BA and/or all AF in current livery to mark the ending of this superb airliner from service....and there's still a possibility for a Virgin one which if that ever transpires...count me in for the model!!

PS .. my little daughter Kerrie calls this pic I took of Concorde at Exeter Airport....."Concorde in the garden"...... oh I wish that was the case!!!!

Best regards,

Dave.

Im liking the Singapore colors here. Yes, the pax door is bit large and high, but what really got my attention is the very wide track of the main gear...kind of L-1011'ish. Hopefully all are to be fixed with later releases.

Will I get the DW Concordes? Yup, every one I can get my hands on.

Can't help but point out the nose and main gear on this model. When you compare to GJ, It's night and day... the DW version actually looks like Concorde whereas the GJ version looks like a thermometer with a perpendicular stick coming out of it.

The General wants to know- Is there or isn't there British Airways livery on the starboard side?

If there is, that would be quite a kick in the nuts for Dan Asher. One would presume there wouldn't be any hard feelings after something like a strike to the gonads.

Pity the poor collector that licensing has become a weapon among manufacturers and in one case, a particular retailer. It makes fighting in the War Room quite pointless.

The more I look at the DW Concorde, I am beginning to wonder........is there a BA livery on the starboard side or is the aircraft coming out with the Singapore livery on both sides!!!!

This is going to be an interesting revelation!

Dave.

Just guessing because of the fact that Dragon Wings does not own a British Airways license, that this model bears the Singapore Airlines livery on both the port and starboard sides of the aircraft. I would have expected Gemini Jets to release their version under their "Dream Jets" brand name as Gemini Jets does not have Singapore Airline's license.

Default Bad Photo!

If you zoom into the photograph you will notice the actual height of the doors is correct once you compared it to the actual crest of the model which has a reflection/shadow. This shadow combines with the background colour, and seems as if the "doors" are higher than normal.

No one will stop me from purchasing this Concorde.

Dragon CAN'T make the model with BA on it for the reason that planeboy389 gave.... not to mention its a BA aircraft.

Thumbs down Mooncorde!

DW's design is to make psgr to look at the moon while inflight. This is why the windows are being printed way too high.

This would be interest to see what it will look like after those windows are being corrected (by placing them on correct cheatline) and I am not sure whether that Mooncorde mould is suitable within DW's design.

I tend to agree with someone's post about land gear as it look like L-1011/DC-10ish. Too wide! Should be narrow even if tire size is same as L-1011/DC-10's tire size.

Wait and see..........

I am happy with GJ version.

Are you sure about that? Both the 744 and 343 were produced under an SQ license.

I am not sure of that, however, that is what my retailer mentioned to me. I also noticed that the boxes (at least the 744) did not have Gemini's logo?

I just noticed the other day that under my GJ SQ A340, it actually says Gemini Jets~!!!

The box didn't have any GJ markings on it at all.

I won't think there'd be reason to just imagine. With your connections, are you saying you don't actually know the livery painted on the other side of that model?

While we're at it, what's the deal with GJ never listing SQ models on their new releases page (or on their database page, I guess)?

Sorry to say that you are not quite correct about the fact that they shared 2 Concordes.
They only 'shared' one Concorde which you quite rightly stated as being G-BOAD/ G-N94AD.
