Exclamation

Let's get some of the stupid clichés out of the way early in this thread, shall we?

"Sweet!"

"Dude, I have this on pre-order with my retailer."

"Nice model."

Did I miss any?

"Can't wait for this to arrive."

"Woooohoooo!"

"Cool"

"When will this be available?"

"Where can I get this?"

Better yet, put a few selected members on the ignore list and you won't even see any of the aforementioned cliches.

Well, let me just say it is refreshing to see more Northwest and more MD-80's.

You forgot a few cliches like..

"Although there are numerous flaws, and the price is high, I will be purchasing this model for my collection."

"I will wait for the GJ release"

"Hurry-up and pre-order before they are all sold out"

"Look at the improvements to the mould (although there are no new improvements)"

"Will look great next to my Aeroclassic DC-9"

Wait, here's another one:

"This will sell out fast and be valuable as a limited production collectable."

I'd like to use a famous phrase and say that "I've got this one on pre-order" but truly speaking, I don't.

I will however be buying this one as it's a nice use of Dragon's MD-80 mould, and it's not limited to 100 units or costing $45.00 bucks.

Sure did :

"Dude, I'm stoked for this one"

Anyhoo, on to more important things. I am beginning to sense a trend in the way models are being released. Last month we saw three fantastic 767-300s from Big Bird 400 in the UPS colors and just a couple of months before that, we saw a licensed official release from Gemini of the UPS MD-11. Now what? The airline has changed it's livery.

Last month we saw more Northwest Airlines models than you can shake a large stick at and then what? Yup, a new livery for Northwest Airlines.

There's talk of Royal Brunei changing their livery within the next month or two and it has been pretty much confirmed that Andrew is going to release a Royal Brunei 767-300.

Best way to get the model you want : write a strongly worded letter to your favourite airline telling them that it's about time they changed their livery. Within a few months, VOILA! Models galore.......
