Default Trouble with EzToys?

I ordered the Hawaiian twin pack from this retailer and of course the air stairs were not in the box like most places. But Kam says they are on the way. That was back in Jan. I have since emailed him and spoke with him on the phone. And as you can tell by this post, still no air stairs.

So you are taking your chances when you order from EzToys. Not to mention that when I placed my order it was one price but got charged almost $10.00 more when he charged my Credit Card.

So like others have called it before "Slezy Toys".

Dear Friend,

We mailed your GSE twice!

Any how if you did not get those by the end of this week please drop me an email [email protected] & re-confirm your address, I'll re-ship the GSE by Express Mail & tracking.

Sorry for that.

I bought 90% my models from eztoyz for almost three years now & I didn't have even a single problem.
I'm pretty sure Kam will take care of your missing air stairs.

I think that the words "Eztoyz Sucks" is a little strong. I know many people who use Kam and are very happy with the service. Granted, they often throw things up on their site for pre-order long before most people think they should but really, until you have visited the store, spoken with Kam and looked through his selection, I think it would be foolish to make a final decision about Eztoyz.

Thank for sharing your opinion and experiences though - it's good to know when it comes to mail order which I have to rely on.

I have never had any problems with Kam, on the contrary he has given excellent service throughout the time I have ordered from him. I don't think it is fair to say his store sucks. Packages get lost all the time and I don't think Kam would want to ruin his reputation over a small plastic truck. I think it is only fair to Kam to speak with him in person or over the phone.

OH MY GOD!

You are missing your little air stairs? I am pretty sure that you ordered the planes - not the airstairs. To say that a retailer "sucks" is a little harsh.

I am positive Kam @ eztoyz is not going to risk his excellent customer service over a pair of air stairs you whiney little *****. I'll send you some if it will stop you wasting our time over your petty little complaints!

Enjoy the hobby......

Kam runs a very good shop. Never had any problems with them. Been to his store several times and he is always nice and helpful! By-the-way, its worth visiting his store if able as he has a lot of models on display and occansionally the rare or hard to find models at excellent prices!

I have also delt with Kam and he has always taken care of any problem ASAP. Every dealer has problems at times, it's how they rectify the problem that counts.

If your air stairs never came and Kam said he sent them, then you should be mad at the shipper, I am sure Kam does not lie and he sent them, as he said above, he'll send you another set...

Although I have never ordered anything from Kam, I have only heard good things about his service.

I think baseing an opinion of a store because you did or didn't get your GSE is abit too much.

kam's got a great store, and if you park in the right place just after youve eaten a big meal, and have no idea where your going, the meal seems to go down quite fast. you get quite the walk to his store, which i think is good you get to see more of the mall. and it just so happens that you can take a way that will take you 3 minutes if you know where your going. all i can say is great store.

I purchased my first 1:400 diecast from Kam at EZTOYZ, and my collection continues to grow from his stock. Whether ordering by mail or a personal visit, the experience is always terrific. He and his wife are gracious, helpful, and knowledgeable of the hobby.
Great prices too!!

I see no one chose to address the fact that when I initially made my order the total was only $58.28. But then when my bill got here I was charged $67.30. What type of business practice is that.

As far as the stairs go, it is the principle, they were suppose to come with the set. And as someone stated yes I did order the set for the planes but if I ever decided to trade them since I have two sets, get the picture. Also I had spoken with Kam twice before this post. Once by email shortly after he sent word that they were "on the way." And then a second time over the phone about a month after that and again he assured me he would get them out to me. Well here it is another month later.

I hope this is an isolated incident and/or just a simple missunderstanding. I am glad to hear that alot of people like dealing with Kam. I am not here to hurt his business. The main idea was to see if anyone else was having problems. I agree that the Title was more than inappropriate and for that I appologize to Kam. I have also changed the title of the post for that reason. If you all say he will make good on his word then I will wait and see.

Thanks for all the replies.

I thought if I went into the original post and changed the title, it would also edit it on the forums page, it didn't.

Again, Kam I appologize for the harsh title and words. If this many people have faith in you, then I will wait to hear from you.

those words were harsh & didn't match Kam, eztoyz has a great team with great service.
now I think you should have lot of guts to accept your wrong judgment.

I dont think its appropriate to insult a retailer in a Diecast forum . You should settled this in private with the folks in Eztoyz .

Question

I didn't address the dollar discrepancy simply because of insufficient information. Hard to pass judgement when the specific items ordered, postal choices, and particular state of delivery (CA is taxable for mail orders from Calif based EZTOYZ) are unknown.

I ordered from them once on a large order, and it got lost in the mail. Kam made good on it, plus threw in a bonus. His only fault is that he carries the Crapono line.

Post 200 models and no problems

I just realized I've got about 220 of these guys! How did that happen The point I'd like to make is that more than 90% of those have been purchased at Kam's store. In all the years I've been visiting he and Zina have always been extremely nice, attentive, and helpful. I can't count the number of times he has gone out of his way to get me a model or contact me about a shipment. I'm not a patient guy and its nice to get the model right out of the UPS box

As for the HW twin-pack I picked mine up the day they arrived without the GSE. Kam mentioned he would be getting them later and sure enough, he remembered to hand them to me on my next visit. Not sure about the pricing dicrepancy. I don't remember the price of the twin pack changing and since I live just outside of downtown near the zoo, I don't incur much in the way of shipping charges.

That's because they are not authorized BB dealer, and have to pay higher prices from shops in Asia, and import them thru the back door.
They also use copywrited AeroClassics photos on their web-site without permission, and blank out the copywrite wording.
To top it off, they are Tucrapo's rep for America! Shame on Sleazyboyz for supporting criminals!

You mean to say that every online retailer that posts AC pics as to ask your permission?? If ya ask me, that doesn't make much sense. I mean, it's advertising for you, so what difference does it make?

Default This hobby full of criminal practices!

Andrew,
How about "Cheesytoyz" instead of "Sleazyboyz" for a fresh
slant on things. It seems to me that there are a few current
diecast model makers producing rogue or "blackmarket" models
which means that these folks must also be considered
criminals since they are coming out with illegal unlicensed
models. We all benefit by getting some great models, but
this die cast business does have a complex dark side. And let's
be honest about this, these models cost very little more than
producing regular releases, but the collectors seem to be paying
high premiums to obtain these models, and this is just gravy
money for the manufacturers! This practice is more criminal
than anything else!

Post like these are the reason I very seldom bother to to be active these days.
I live in the UK where there a few if any retailers local enough to visit and purchase any models. I rely on people like Eztoyz and the honesty and reliability of delivery and charging that they offer.

You didn't seem to mind Big Bird ripping off me by taking my copyrighted pictures and slapping them on their box... and when I asked you to help me contact who I could speak to.. (I don't look for money, I would have been happy with a free model) you said you no affiliation with them. Please Klein, if you want us to feel sorry for you, then please feel sorry for everyone who gets stuff stolen, be it moulds, pictures, or dirty underwear.

Great Retailer
My one visit to Horton Toy and Doll on my spring break vacation to California during March was quite enjoyable. They have good displays a huge selection and very nice service. They even gave me NW World Plane 747 Netmodel for free when I left because of "minor damage" so they felt that they could not sell it.
Nice to see there are some good and fair dealers out there

Plus they dealt with having me hang around the store for an hour and a half

I do not know what it is with some people here who feel they have to pick on KAM every week. I can say the service he provides is excellent. I have NEVER had any problems with KAM and I have been ordering from him for close to two years now. I guess it is cool to say here at DAC that EZTOYS sucks. I wish people would deal with KAM before they write down stupid comments that could affect someones reputation. I have no problems purchasing products from him and will continue to do so.

Well said Skymaster. Kam provides outstanding service to the collectors. And yes, Mr Klein needs some of the professional services you have mentioned. I hope he drops this issue once and for all, and get a "Horton Toy of Seattle" business at his home town !!
