Default Goldenwings B747-400 Cathay Pacific

Anyone seen this model? It is a new Goldenwings release. Sorry for the poor picture quality. It wears Asian Games Sticker.

Sorry for opening this thread. I didn`t saw the other one. The model should be a Tucano not a Goldenwings. But we know, that it is the same person behind the two names. Actual price in Switzerland 89 CHF ( 65 US$ !!! ). Too much for me for a piece of metal. Let`s hope Dragon comes with a Turkish DC-10.

lets be fair here, US price for this CX model is $45.00 & the BB Resocha or other BB 747's are also between $45.00 to $50.00 .
I think both Tucano & BB "ARE NOT" cheap & should reduce their prices, it doesn't seems right to me that you release unlicensed models & sell it more than the licensed ones!

What the hell? There is such a thing as over-detailing a model. That Cathay has more markings than a Nascar racer.

I agree with you on this point. Both TL and BB models are not easily available in Canada so if I were to purchase one, I would have to from a US retailer. With shipping, customs, and a pretty sh*tty exchange rate; a TL or BB400 747 would cost me between $60.00 to $90.00 Canadian! For this price I could buy 2 Gemini Jets, or 3 Dragon Wings models at my local retailer

What justifies the price difference is beyond me....

Well, it seems to me that the price difference is largely explained by the very limited runs of these models. I presume that the cost of setting up the tampo printing pads is roughly the same, whether 500 (BB400) models are made, or 2500 (GJ). If this presumption is correct, then it stands to reason that the printing of a BB400 model will cost broadly five times that of a Gemini. These costs are passed on to the collector, along with a margin that is applied on top of all costs.

The proliferation of very limited run models will inevitably push prices up for the collector, sadly. Whilst the very limited production runs may allow the manufacturers to sneak the models under the radar of the airlines, the end result ends up costing us a lot more. The challenge is to decide whether its best to have a model in a very run limited released run at a high price, or whether it'd be better not to have the model released at all.

Talking I don't smell licensing anymore!

Remember people were still talking about licensing issues a year ago or so? It looks like this subject is no longer on the table!

Any manufacturer can release any scheme at any time!

AKlein if you plan on bringing out the CX why not try out the AHK as well!

Well let's see it Andrew!!!

We haven't seen the Air New Zealand All-blacks or the Lord of the Rings or the China Yunnan Expo 767 and you keep saying that you will release it shortly. I think you should put up.

Does anyone pay attention to this CX on eztoyz?

It starts from $45 Wednesday and goes up to $50 right now. This happens to all Tucano as well in his website. JAL "Dream story" and Air New Zealand "Lord of the Rings" both from $45 became $50; Qantas "Nalanji Dreaming" from $60 became $65.......

This retail shop really wants to get our hard working money?????

Oh, no way Tucano/eztoyz ! I'll definitely wait for BB400 from my favorite retail shop.

Is that 744 missing the kinks in it's wings? Yes, I do believe it is.

PS--any chance of a REGULAR BB CX n/c 744? Gah, there's no need to make EXACTLY what Tucano does. One-offs suck!
