Thumbs up Hangers!!!!

I just came across some great buildings in HO scale that would be easily made into Hangers for 1/400. The sides are made to were you can use the doors or leave them out seeing how they would be to big. I bought three different ones. They are all molded in steel blue like most industrial steel buildings. They are made by Rix. As soon as I get them Home I will take a few pix to place on here over the weekend.

Here is there website

These are for HO scale rail roads. But the walls come solid. You have to cut the doors out. So I am just going to cut Hanger size doors out of them. As soon as I get home and get started on the I will take a few pics to post. But from what I can tell they are going to work well.

HangErs are for coats, hangArs are for airplanes

Not sure I'd want to put my coat on a railroad shed!

Actually it would be nice to see some simple kits of distinctive airport terminals. Maybe in 1/450 scale so that both 400ers and 500ers could use them . Dulles and JFK's PanAm Worldport and TWA terminal spring first to mind. Toronto's T1 and Paris CDG T1 are also good candidates. No doubt a section of DFW curved terminal would be welcome as well.
They could be fairly cheap injection molded things. Just a basic start or background. People who want to get fancy could spruce them up themselves re: jetways etc.

Post Pics to Large

When I try to load the pics it says they are too large a file. I will get the camera from work tomorrow and get some shots. Sorry. Looks like a 767 is about the largest that will fit in this particular hangar. Two 717's or 727's.

seems like deja-vu a thousand times....
careful Andy, some people get easily offended when you point out this common spelling error....
