Glad to see more releases. If the DiMA database is correct, actually no one has done a Singapore 747-300 in the 1980's colors on a good mould. Witty's excellent Singapore 747-300 is the 90's-present gold-highlighted colors. Dragon's SIA 743 in 80's colors gets the blue too light, and, well, it's Dragon. Netmodels did an SIA 744 that they called a 743! I hope Netmodels' 747 mould isn't as bad as their awful DC-9 mould.
Again, if DiMA is to be trusted, no one else has yet announced the Malaysia 747 in retro 70's-80's MAS colors.
One that desperately needs to be done is a United Blue-Star Friend Ship 747-122. Unbelievably, Aeroclassics and Aurora only did the variation of Friend Ship without the Blue-Star treatment, instead of doing both. Dragon did the Blue-Star 747, but again, it's Dragon. Gemini did it too, but with the awful Gemini earlier-747 undercarriage. A United Blue-Star from the current BigBird would be a big improvement on either, if the Cathays are evidence.

Reading between the lines here if this BigBird is a JC Wings offshoot (which I am told it is) then they are seemingly falling into the standard pattern of mainly hitting Asian markets and keeping up their gentlemen's agreement with Gemini not to encroach into their territory. So I would say that the chances of seeing US releases are low. Plus note that there has been no sign of the 747-100/200 and in addition their releases are very intermittent. So all in all Jim I wouldn't get your hopes up I'm afraid.

As usual, it seems like there is some reason that some historically badly-needed model that wasn't done in the past and can be done now, isn't going to be done. The 1:400 business needs some reform.
At least there are classic 70's-80's Asian 1:400 747's that still haven't been done at an above-Gemini-quality level, like the 80's-scheme SIA 743. And in any event, pretty much everything that's already been done needs to be reissued, anyway. It's been way too long since high-quality classic 70's-80's 747's have been done and, the models that have been made are hard to find nowadays.
Japan Air Lines 747-300's in the 80's cheatline scheme would be welcome.

Yes! Old JAL 743 is much needed! The old Bigbird JAL 743 is impossible to find.
There is a big opportunity here for BB to pump out some seriously cool 747's....
The big players always sell....
JAL/SQ/CX/QF/BA/LH etc etc.
You could release a batch of each of these each month and still sell well....but the 120 in a batch creates a little bit of panic so you don't miss out.
