Default Gemini announce Hekla Aurora 757

Or at least they've Facebooked up a picture of the Aurora Borealis with a 'coming soon' clue. I'll assume both scales but they haven't offered any further information as of yet.

I have the Pacmin in 200 scale. Will likely buy Gemini's 200 version as well.

My sources tell me it will be in both scales. I'm just hoping this will be on a newly tooled 757 with more realistic winglets. I would also hope it means a regular livery Ice Air 757

It's a perfect opportunity for GJ to relaunch the 752 mould with realistic gears and "perhaps" some antenna too. Anything else would be amateur...

Hopefully this will be a April release and not another "coming soon" release...

I like Icelandair's color scheme. One source says the gold color was based on the airline's 50th anniversary in 1998. But I can't figure out the tail logo other than it looks like a modified "F" ???

The airline was originally known as "Flugfélag Íslands" (Airline of Iceland) which may explain the flying F motif. They adopted the Icelandair moniker later when they began to operate internationally, post WWII.

Thanks for the explanation Big Al. My first take on the Flugfélag Islands was of some group of islands around Iceland. Of course, that's what I get for not speaking in the Icelandic tongue.
