The Sichuan A321 is kind of cool, but doesn't fit my collecting criteria.

Lots of hot garbage here.

Link works!

Nothing for me, thank goodness!

The credit card bill for my little 747 spending spree arrived today - Mrs. Republic was less than thrilled and annualized this monthly bill for me, a smart move on her part - yikes!

So I am glad to see nothing but Chinese modern stuff that I have zero interest in.

I've managed to stay away from the PHX Brussels A330 and will somehow manage to stay away from that little AC SAS A319! I have no space left! Some stands are on the way though.

What? You don't like your models to be sparkly? 😄

Same here. I haven't seen my Waffle 747 bill yet, but it won't be pretty. So it's just as well that Andrew released modern Chinese and Euro stuff this month.

When 80's Deregulation narrowbodies (and some widebodies would be welcome, too ) appear again, I'll be buying again. Though some of those Braniff jellybean 720's would have been tempting in 1:400.

Another month of non-requested boring Airbuses and feeding the Chinese market yet again! Why doesn't AC leave all this stuff to Phoenix and GJ instead of trying to compete and concentrate on its unique classic moulds where there is no competition? No Christmas presents from AC this year!

Aeroclassics has got almost every single Canadian North model wrong too. I don't put much faith in their accuracy. Overpriced and under-researched.

The gradients on the Aeroclassics Alitalia A330s were terrible as well. On another note, I keep secretly hoping that AC will pop out a 757 mould and get back to their namesake with future releases.

I agree that the Alitalia A319 is awful - what is going on at the tail! There have been some poorly researched and produced releases of recent (Qantas 737s, Northwest DC-4s etc). Not sure what is going on there.

Personally I like the Chinese releases but I understand the preference for classics. Having said that AC are still making a lot of classics and its a shame almost nobody else is helping out. I guess this magnifies the disappointment when AC don't release what we want but its almost more a reflection of the market than them in particular.

I'd love some Piedmont silver 737s and F28s (plus USAir hybrids). I actually flew a USAir hybrid F28 when I was 11 or 12 in 1991/92 between FLL and MCO

Quite agree! I was shocked when I saw a list of AC moulds currently in use on Wings900 and that the AC DC-3, Vanguard and BAC One-Eleven moulds have been retired!!! So many important liveries not done on these moulds! While he's flogging the Airbus moulds to death and sucking up to the Chinese market, the real classics have been shunned.

But I did! What I meant was, you have many unique moulds with no competition, so why not capitalize on them? Competing with the others that have the same moulds, is only flooding the market and outstripping demand, so any profit is minimalised.

Au contraire Pierre, if we are first to market, with a product usually superior to the so-called competitors, then profits are used to finance the less popular Classics.

But Aeroclassics products are really not superior anymore. It is one thing to make a diecast model that is well made in terms of the mould but if each month the liveries have very obvious issues as a result of bad research, it is still an inferior product.

That's why I liked Aeroclassics. But look at some of the releases, I've never even heard of some of these airlines and I bet most people haven't either.

On their forum I asked for a Nolinor 732 and Andrew said they would only sell maybe 50 of them. Some of these I bet won't sell much better than that either

I would wholeheartedly volunteer time and effort for ACLX livery accuracy. Andrew, what say you ?

The overall accuracy of the shape of the Aeroclassics product is truly, and in my opinion, SUPERIOR, especially when most others are introducing so-called "new" and inferior moulds, when nothing really appeared to be wrong with the older casts, short of a tweak here or there !

Case in point the current Phoenix 747 nose !!! Why isn't anyone troubled by this one ???
Marvelous liveries on an aircraft replica with a hideous nose ! {the engines have been made better though}

I believe it would be quite easier to get the liveries right than outright rhinoplasty ...

So I guess that, given the profits amassed month after month, a tremendous number of classic releases is about to overwhelm us, isn't it ?...

I'd buy a Nolinor, but I'd never buy a Piedmont. Lots of people would buy the Piedmont, no doubt. But I think the Nolinor would certainly sell more than 50.

I guess that kills the chances of me ever seeing an Air Inuit 737-200 from AC. I would love to have one of those in my collection!

These airlines that you've never heard of have sold out on the first wave!! There are some shops still looking for re-stock of these airlines you've never heard of

As previously stated, AC caters to the entire world, so not everyone will be please each time, but in the overall picture, absolutely!!

Andrew, I'm highly suspicious from your past comments about the classics you've ridden on (as well as the first models you produced) that you're a classics collector yourself, even mentioning buying well-made examples from other manufacturers for your own collection.

So I'm pretty confident that you'll treat us to more classics soon, and maybe even a new classic mold or two someday.

In the meantime, Happy Holidays to you, and may visions of a Frontier Horizon 727 fill your head until you just HAVE to make one for your own collection!

Ooooh! And that new DC9-10 too!
