Smile Man, I Must Be The Biggest Liar On This Planet!

I stopped by SkyJets in Encino today.... Ruben was there, and he seemed a little anxious.... I said "what's wrong, Ruben?" and he said "Walter, I've had it with this 1/400 business! I'm packing it all in and moving to Alaska! There, I'll live off the land in a cabin built by my own hands. I will no longer be incumbered by the material possesions that have come to rule my life here in California... No telephones, faxes, tvs, NOTHING!"

He then told me since I was standing there and I had been a good customer in the past that I could have everything in the store! "It's all yours, Walter!"

can you believe it? So I loaded up my car with about four hundred boxes of new as well as rare Geminis and Jet-Xs! I got FIVE Juan Trippes! THREE Braniff club models! a baker's dozen of Tubular Belles and several Formula Ones! Can you imagine?!!!

Why does FLYBWI and his story come into mind when I read this?"

I'm borrowing a note from another thread, it seems that this may be a "FLYBWI syndrom" outbreak.

PS: Did you get any Blacks BI 380?

Regards!!!

Gee Walter.....

The last time you had a fantastic diecast story, I was severely injured in that rainstorm of GJ Braniff 747 club models! The lumps on the head are just starting to go away. Been to any garage sales lately?

Yes, it is not as exciting as the older story, I'll grant you that.... but then, what's-his-name's lame-arse B-S story about being showered with free 1/400 models from his "friend" who doesn't want them anymore wasn't nearly as good as the original story about that guy that found loads of rare Geminis at a garage sale.... remember that one? "I got a Braniff club model for one dollar!"

so, the reply suits the story

Love your wit and sarcasm Walter. Although I may be a tad skeptical about the "gift story", it's not out of the realm of possibility. Several times I've sent models (some good ones too, in my estimation....) as gifts to friends. They are usually quite happy about it and most appreciative.

I will admit that I've never sent the GJ Braniff 747club nor GJ Pan Am's as gifts, though. Guess I'm still somewhat of a cheapskate! Say hi to Ruben.

So, I am in Houston for a few days and you kids can't control yourselves. Walt, I just got back from the arm-pit of the good ol' US of A (the Houston Show) and Ruben was as committed to 400 scale as he ever was. You are a narcissistic sh-tbag. Your constant changing of avatars doesn’t prove how fu-king clever you are… it only masks the fact you can't make your girlfriend achieve orgasm all the more obvious.

Is this the 1:400 forum, or the forum of the macabre?

What climbed up your arse and died, you grouchy, bitter, prosaic, shiite-bag? "we kids can't control ourselves"?!..... for some dilweed who only has 34 posts you sure like framing yourself as some sort of 1/400 raja who rules over us like a wizened master of models.... go the fark back to the porn sites that you spend the rest of your time at you fat, sweaty snot smear...

maybe it is really unbelevable, but i can assure you as well that what i wrote there is 100 percent true.

i might give you my friends email adress, so you might ask himself . he is a master sergeant for the USAF based here in europe. he had those models, but was not interested in them really. he doesn't need maybe all the money, i don't know, but the thing is , he doesn't see the sense in this business if somebody who wants to collect small planes, to pay over 500 USD for it. so he just gave them to me, as i am collecting them, and those were the ones, i was looking the most for.

it is maybe unbelieveble, but it is true.

i don't want to write some liar stories over here, i have better things to do than that.

sincererly yours

sorry dude..... I was just messing with ya..... actually, I didn't mean to come right out and call you a big stinky liar.... the fact is, your post just kind of reminded me of some guy a few months ago that had a rather tall garage sale story.... anyway, the whole point was just some good natured jesting... If you say it happened, it happened..... (you lucky barstard)

p.s. to any confused DACers out there, (including the Father)... I WAS JUST KIDDING.... RUBEN IS NOT MOVING TO ALASKA.... HE DID NOT GIVE ME HIS ENTIRE STOCK OF MODELS.... HE IS CURRENTLY RUNNING MY FAVORITE STORE IN THE L.A. AREA.....

It's a sad day when you have to EXPLAIN your sarcastic wit-isms.

Especially when the scarcasm practically jumps off the screen and hits you in the face.

Default Hmmmm could that be a spacecat logo

Hey Walter!

I really like the avatar. Is it possibly a SpaceCat??? I am working on a new look for my somewhat lame logo. Similar to yours, but different!

Cat!

PS - Cats really do rule (and have 9 lives).

thanks..... but never under estimate the gullibility of some.... i.e., if I said "That Virgin Tubular Belle is nice, but is costs like a gazillion dollars", someone would undoubtably say "A gazillion? I don't think they are that much... I'll bet you could get one for around a hundred... in fact, I don't think there is such an amount as gazillion, Walter...."

Also, my current avatar is the official logo of my cat Tuesday... I like to call it "Superstar Tuesday" .... it's a big hit....
