Just got these in recently. My favorite Air New Zealand livery. I like to call it Euro white with a little flair! This is my first Dragon Wings purchase in probably a decade! Even this older GJ 777-200 looks great in this livery. I figure that at this point, no manufacturer is going to release these aircraft in this livery.

The B747-400 came with the SPECIAL VERSION sticker on it. Yeah, this one is special for sure. Reg # at the tail shows ZK-NBT, but under the wing it shows ZK-NBV. Oh well, I don't look under the wing anyway.

Surprisingly, as old as this model is, it also came with the loader GSE still sealed. I remember back in the 2000s when you won Dragon Wings models on eBay that were supposed to have GSE included, often the seller would keep the GSE and play dumb or respond back with something like, "The listing didn't say anything about the GSE".

Nice pickups, its one of my favourite liveries too, trying to get hold of a -200 in the o/c (delivery).
Shame about the regos misprint, NBT was an RB211 bird so I guess its supposed to be NBV.

It's a nice old Dragon Wings. Pretty happy with it even with the misprint.

Good luck finding the -200 in delivery livery. Wasn't that released by Big Bird/AeroClassics?

Did Dragon Wings ever produce a 1:400 747 model with RB211s? Doug

Thanks mate, I've kind of tracked one down, just thinking if its worth paying the decent sum for it. (I highly doubt anyone will re-release a ANZ 747 in the o/c?). If I knew I would certainly buy it. Even with the misprint, it's still better than my PHX version. Affirmative sir, aeroclassics did make it but Gemini made one too, which according to Richard, was a Sovereign model which never made it to the market. Quite interesting!

Yeah, interestingly enough, they made NBT with the Rb211 engines, I suspect on Harvey's model, at the factory the workers probably got confused and printed the wrong rego on it. As both models had a similar production date meaning NBT and NBV were being produced at the factory simultaneously at one point. Just a guess.

ZK-NBT: https://database.diecastmodelaircraft.com/model/3094

ZK-NBV: https://database.diecastmodelaircraft.com/model/3093

ZK-NBW: https://database.diecastmodelaircraft.com/model/3277

I think 747438 is probably right about confusion at the factory. Interestingly, if you look at the photo of the box for ZK-NBW, the artwork shows a 747 with RB211s, but the model produced definitely doesn't sport them.

Photo of the real ZK-NBW confirms that the model is correct, the box is incorrect: https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/7801534

Yeah Dragon seemed to be a bit sloppy with the photos they use on the front of their boxes.
I think its kind of like 'a set' of releases for a specific aircraft type in an airlines fleet release around the same time (they will use the same photo on all the boxes).
One example I have is an SAS MD80 in the normal c/s, while the box photo is of one in the Star Alliance scheme. Both produced around the same time.

The graphic on the engine nacelle makes the engine look crooked.

I checked the model again and yes, they are a bit crooked. At least it looks like Gemini solved the problem with the gigantic engines...

I have the same issue with an NG 789, waiting for a replacement tire though.

I ordered it around a month ago from a Chinese shop on Engtaobao, about £35 door to door.

Yes, Taobao is still capable of throwing up the odd bargain, although like everywhere else, shipping has been steadily creeping up over the past year.

Not sure if this model has been posted on this thread before. Forgive me if it has.
After a 6 months wait and one false start I finally got my ‘Boris One’ by NG models and modified an old DW stand to display it on.
But is it the best one available? Perhaps someone could offer their view.

Still awaiting mine (posted from Hong Kong on December 6th), but I do have two NATO grey examples from Aviation 400 which are excellent in every detail. So I expect their Boris will be to the same standard.

That Beluga is tempting me. I'm about to grab one of those, but I'm also waiting for NG's February releases.

Have you had your NG Models 'Boris' A330 arrive yet? I ordered mine from Hong Kong around the same time as you but mine hasn't arrived yet.

Yes, forgot to say. It arrived in the middle of last week. I checked the tracking info the day before and noted it had fast track updated all stages to leaving the Heathrow/Langley customs warehouse and had entered the postal system. This was a day or so after e-mailing Hong Kong Post tracking office to ask what the heck was going on ?

Nice piece !

Let's not forget the classics. I recently reported that my SMAC B 737-200 Delta Widget suffered a slow and sad zinc rot death with wings curled up like a bird taking flight. So, I just snagged a replacement: GJDAL 170 which is good, but maybe not quite as good as the late SMAC version, but then the GJ didn't rot away, so in the end, it's the superior version, right? And the single documented Gemini Jets with zinc rot was the Alaska Airlines B 737-790(W). Nobody mentions that, but they might... Keep 'em flying, Doug

There is actually a growing list of Geminis with Zinc Rot Doug. Check out my page and you'll see there are 8 but I have been told about some others too and just noticed some unpleasantness on my Gemini Qantas 747SP too.

Noooo! Which one? Delivery or last C/S version?

Edit: just checked my VH-EAA in the last SP C/S, everything seems fine.
