To contrast the above recent additions, here are some golden oldies. I recently managed to nab all 3 of the Aeroclassics East African VC-10's, 5Y-ADA, 5H-MOG & 5X-UVJ, all released in 2006. They represent Kenya, Uganda & Tanzania and the airline was defunct by January 1977. Richard Stretton has written an interesting article on the subject. 5H-MOG was actually the last VC-10 built, first flown in January 1970. All were frequent visitors to LHR. I got them for just under £25 each, which I thought was a bargain, from Johan Chan on ebay. These may have been factory surplus as they came newly re-packaged in generic Aeroclassics boxes.

Two recent additions featuring the Continental Airlines 1991 Lippincott & Marguiles livery:
(1.) Big Bird BB4-2005-XX Continental Airlines Boeing B 747-243B N78020; and,
(2.) AeroClassics ACCOA0215 Continental Airlines B-737-200 N14233.
Pretty much rounds out my collection of this period livery, but still looking for AeroClassics
ACN13983 Continental Airlines A300B4-103 N13983, and yes, that's a rare one.
Later, Doug

Thanx, Alex

Nice additions, Doug! Although, that Continental 742 is actually Big Bird, not Blue Box (thankfully!)

Hi!

Was able to grab the Finnair A330 OH-LTT that I flew on last year (HEL-NKG).
My cabinet is quite full now so I have narrowed down to only buying "must haves" and "flown on"
Nice flight and good service.

Recently took photo of it.

Hi.

Some time ago I received the JC Wings passenger bridges but never opened them until now. Could earlier hear some comments that they are too long (?) but in my view they are excellent. Really surprised about the looks and feeling.

Some photos (iPhone)

Crazy good pix, Steinar - and with an iPhone... Apple photography can't handle all demands, but does pretty well. My son just went with the iPhone 11, and gave me his old iPhone 7, and so I'm working my way into the present. Nice shots, Doug

Hi Doug.

Thanks and happy to read your comments. Yes, I used my iPhone 8+ for these last 4 photos. iPhone 8+ is getting old, just like me but I still like it. Since the camera is placed on one side it is very very good to take "street view photos" the way you see it on a bus or walking to your flight. Quality is OK for me. The previous post with the Finnair model with the back drop is however from my Lumix camera. I'm later this year planning to retire from work and hopefully could spend more time on this hobby.

Seen all your posts with photos and I admire them very much, but without comments... sorry.

Let's keep up the good work collecting and keep in touch!

I've received a few over the past few months, most recent delivery were the Air Tahiti Nui and American models which arrived yesterday. All 787's are dash 9's in 400 scale and all are NG models. I now have 3 Air Tahiti 787's one each from Phoenix, Gemini and now NG.
Still on pre-order are 2 x NG QANTAS 789's and 2 x NG 78X's one United in their new colors and one Etihad in the green / turquoise colors.

I have the same jet bridges and I love the looks of them, so realistic.. Too long now way, depends on how far you have the model standing from the bridges..

Last week I finally managed to pick up this elusive little gem that I’ve been after ever since it was released a couple of years ago. Very glad to have held out for it with JC and Phoenix recently releasing inferior examples of this aircraft. I read on this forum a batch might have been seized by customs because of the wooden boxes. Whether true or not, this has been very hard to find with its production run of 120. The other two HYJL Airbus house liveries (D-AVXA and D-AVXB) released at the same time seem readily available.
