This summer, United flew me across the pond EWR-MAN and back on 767-400's. So the really-stretched 767 became a flown-on, and Herpa has made a solid model.

Did N504US fly with the black radome and with the Northwest logo on the tail? I cannot seem to find any pictures of that combination; only found black nose with no tail logo, or no black nose and Northwest logo.

Aeroclassics PIA A300B4-203 AP-BBV in 1980s c/s, 2014 release

According to DiMA, only 24 units of the registration AP-BBV were made, along with 3 other registrations released at the same time: AP-BBA, AP-BAX & AP-BAZ. The fifth registration made in these c/s, AP-BCJ , was the regular release.

AP-BBV was originally delivered to Laker Airways as G-BIMC in June 1981. Acquired by PIA in June 1984.

Yes just the other day and I also saw it pictured in stock on ARD's Facebook page amongst their 'new arrivals' photos.

Hi, it was from a fellow DAC member, John (jlskycruiser744), a really nice guy. He's been selling his 1/400 collection, and has had a lot of the rarer models.

Another recent find, and a bit out of my usual criterea, as this is the first model I've added which represents the '60s era. It's also the first DC-8 in my collection. In addition to that, it also happens to be a Hangar Club model, which came with a numbered card and a superb 16-piece GSE set. It appears to be a 50th anniversary edition from 2015, as it was the 50th Hangar Club model released. I got #19 out of 120.

Nice model, I used to be in the 400 Scale Club and have several of the early releases. Craig Hanson used to do the collectors cards. I'm sure his mastery of grammar was better than whoever did this one ? "In memory of 400 Scale Hangar.net collectors who have past on"

Thanks Al. The GSE set which was included really swung it for me, but the model is really lovely too, a classic icon of the jet-set era. Yes indeed - I noticed the typo right away, that is pretty poor! I cringed when I read it. Craig Hansen is a familiar name from reading the archives, from the old days of DAC, used to post here as "Chansen" I believe.

I've owned the 727-200 for several years, but the DC9-30 and L1011-1 are recent additions.

Three different manufacturers, all some of their best work. GJ with the best 727 tooling, Aeroclassics with the best DC9's, and NG with the best L1011's.

Lovely models guys. Here is another major holy grail I found. Have been after this one for years. A BB400 Qantas 742 in classic Ochre Cheatline c/s, with the XII Commonwealth Games Brisbane 1982 logo on it. It now completes the set of 4 classic 'roos released around January 2006; VH-EBB, VH-EBM (P&W machines), VH-ECB and now VH-ECC (RR machines). Cannot beat the classic 'Flying Kangeroo' cheatline scheme!

BB400 Qantas B.747-238BSCD VH-ECC "City of Shepparton", with XII Commonwealth Games Brisbane logo, 1970s - 1980s c/s

I just had to add a period special edition 1982 Castlemaine XXXX beer can which has the same Brisbane games logo on it The classic and iconic 1930s-built brewery in Milton is still going:

That’s a great find, always a great feeling after you finally get your hands on something you’ve been after for so long! I think you should be happy with the price you paid since it seldom appears. I was bidding on a Ryanair 737 Hertz Gemini sample a couple of weeks ago. It went for just over $200!

Thanks, and yes it really is! I've found quite a few this year, in fact 2019 must be a record year for finding all these old holy grails. So you witnessed the recent bidding for it on ebay To be honest, even though £100 is still a fair whack, I think I got off lightly because as you say, this is a very hard model to track down, and I'll have this for life. So well worth it. It was also handy that I located it within my own country of residence, saving on shipping and custom charges. I didn't see that other auction you mentioned but again it's another example of what people will pay for certain models.

Here, my last model, my new A330-700 Beluga XL n°2 I have ordered a week ago and edited by JC Wings. On this model, you can open the front door.
