British Airways utopia tails aka world tails, not everyone cup of tea but it is mine. this is one of the most interesting livery till date and I do enjoys it.
hope you guys enjoy it. most or all the custom made is from Hugo.
some brought it from Hugo itself , some from ebay and some from a seller over dac. those fantasy A380 world tails is also one of my favourite...

Nice collection.
I have a couple of Hugo customs, but they are of real airframes. I dont normally do what ifs apart from Braniff Concorde.

I still await the Deutsche BA tails on 737s F28-100(wake up aeroclassics?)
There are the TAT/BA and Air Liberte/BA various F28 F28-100 MD82 ATR72

Also DBA Saab 2000 just for starters, surprised there isnt a Saab 2000 mould in 1/400

Very cool indeed.
Not being from GB, I find the regular BA livery boring.
Actually I find most liveries boring but these are definitely more fun to look at than standard BA jets.
Thanks for sharing, never heard of Hugo customs before.

Fantastic collection. I collect those models that wore these World Tails schemes in real life, but would not extend my collection to fantasy schemes on A380s. Historical accuracy is all important to my collecting.

Love the fantasy A380's....
I have no idea why the public lost their patience with these designs.
They were original, unique and interesting.

Oh well - anyway...

Lovely set of utopia tails - really fun checking out all the pictures.

I'm with you, I thought they were a great and innovative idea. Some of the reasons people came out with for disliking them were laughable.

agreed with you Adrian ,that historical accuracy is important but the livery on the A380s is nice that simply unable to resist buying them, kinda of a love at first sight.

thank you Bangkok lady la...
I also don't have much idea why such a beautiful design only lasts approximately 4 years , considering a very short life span.

one reason is-
Safety concerns were also raised that the lack of a consistent tail design could lead to BA aircraft being misidentified by controllers and other aircrew.

Big Al, I am with you too and I guess you referring to.....

"Former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher showed her displeasure at the designs by covering one of the new tailfins on a model 747 with a handkerchief. She declared, "We fly the British flag, not these awful things." Thatcher also indicated with these fins the airline would lose its identity." - wikipedia
