Today, 2014/3/31, ANA 747 formally retired...
Since the first arrival of ANA 747SR(JA8134) in 1978/12/20, she has been called "Super Jumbo", bringing so many good memories to us.
And in 1979, ANA CA uniform was even changed just in order to celerate the Jumbo's coming!
In August, 1990, ANA also introduced their first 747-400,called Techno Jumbo this time. And in November the same year, again ANA all unforms were updated, in order to welcome the new Jumbo once more!
As you know there were maby special paint schemes of ANA 747, but most of them are domestic use 744Ds.
The only 2 747-400 used in International flight with special scheme were JA8912("Pokemon USA" in 1998 and "Goal!Goal!Goal!" in 2002) and this one, JA8958.
JA8958, S/N:25641/928, introduced to ANA in August/1992, retired in May/2011.
Around 1999-2000, she weared a small stick of "Yokoso!Japan"（Yokoso means "welcome" in Japanese）on her fuselage.
By the way, the last regular ANA interenational flight by 747 was NH206, Paris to Narita on 2011/1/3 while the last irregularANA interenational flight by 747 was NH1987, Guam to Narita on 2011/3/21.
Both flights were made by JA8958!
