Default Would anyone else here like to see these in 1/400?

Any other collectors interested in seeing some of these produced eventually in 1/400 scale. There are currently no good Dash 7 models available in any scale using any material. I spent $350 on a resin model made from a very reputable manufacturer and it still didn't look right. The resin kits are very rare and look horrible. Any support out there?

Is this your annual call out for the DHC-7 - I noticed it was about a year since this thread:

http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...-dash-7-a.html

Sadly I can't see this happening anytime soon.

Has it only been a year, gheez. I just like to put it out there every now and then. May not happen anytime soon, but eventually it may. You never know who reads these things, they may be looking for inspiration!

Count me in! A year from now I hope to have several of these 4 propped wonders in my collection (Golden West first, please)!

Are these the same plane as a DHC-8 but with more engines or what? (Change out the wings and AK would have a whole new model)?

Very similar looking to the DHC-8, but a completely different airplane.

Although DHC-7 looks much like the DHC-8 it's entirely different; overall slightly larger, different wing with huge flaps for STOL and more pronounced dihedral, and different engines. I'd go for a Canadian Armed Forces version, City Express or the prototype, which had an interesting scheme (below).

Interesting...I'd also like an Air Wisconsin version please...and Britt - did they have these?

AK could have a field day with this one (right after the L-1011 and 757)

You can definitely add the ZK crowd to this request for a DH-7 mould.

There have been many, many requests for a 1/400 Dash-7 which seem to fall on deaf ears, just like all the other new mould requests.

People have been begging for these for the LONGEST time. If they were done, I would say I wouldn't hesitate in buying some if the price wasn't too high. I honestly believe that with how many viable liveries, and how many times this has been asked for, in my honest opinion, it is no longer a question of if it'll be made, but rather, when it'll be made.

For the naysayers, remember, there was once a time when people would flat out cross out the possibility of a 1:400 scale SAAB-340 or Shorts 360 ever existing, and now we have these two great moulds on a plethora of great liveries! If anyone is to make it, I honestly think it'll be JC, GJ (in some kind of collaboration with JC) or Aeroclassics. And if it is made by those three, I have some pretty high hopes for it coming out nicely. Neither haven't really flat out disappointed in their more recent small T-prop offerings.

I'd be all over an Air Tindi Dash-7. Still in service!

Or Air Greenland. Also still in service!

Canadian Armed Forces:

Time Air:

Or one of my favorites, Air BC:

Sign me up for a couple of Air Wisconsin models!

I don't think Britt operated the DHC-7. I thought their only large a/c were F-27s (forgive me for not knowing the exact type).

(Don't get me started on those. I'd love a Britt and a Midstate and even a Chicago Air on that aircraft. A Britt BAC-111 would be nice too. And Air Illinois BAC-111.

nope ... Rocky Mountain was the only COEX carrier with DHC-7s (not counting the short duration Southern Jersey Airways codeshare) ... they did fly a few on behalf of PBA in New England for the summer of 1987 or thereabouts
