Default 1:400 RAF VC-10 help needed ...

So I thought that I owned all the various RAF VC-10s that have been released in 1:400 scale ...

then I came across this photo. Do any of you know who made this?

Thanks in advance

JC Wings perhaps? I'm guessing.

The slight upwards inclination of the wings looks a lot like my one Jet X example...

I thought it might be JC Wings due to the "UK Air Force" bit ... but they aren't listed anywhere as producing this in 1:400 scale ... and Jet-X hasn't ever used a box like this one

Maybe a private commission to commemorate the retirement last year ? Just a guess...

Can you share the source of yr picture?

Only last week, I received some 1/400 RAF VC-10's by Jet-X which happen to sit on my desk right now. I don't think the model pictured is a Jet-X model.

Definitely the Jet-X mould. It could therefore be a JC Wings release and the box seems to suggest that it is a commemorative model. As Al says the VC10 was retired last year and there are lots of commemorative items on sale if you know where to look. Maybe this is one of them.

Why not just go in to the database and look it up! Try #15295

The database doesn't show the box and it is the box that is unusual in this instance. I have the model depicted in the database and it came in a normal Jet-X box. Can't make out if the model in the photo above is the same registration as the one on the database.

hey thanx!

did you bother to actually read the thread?

Jet-X VC-10s came in this box:

and the reg on the model is XV108 ... not SV108 like the Jet-x was incorrectly released as
