Wow.
Is there any ANA model you do not have?
Great photoes and a pretty extensive collection.

Why were those last ANA planes painted in the brown/tan colours?

Two "Gold Jet" Boeing 737-781s (JA01AN, JA02AN) were painted in this colours but I forgot what the reasons.

as for the B787 there, it was a fantasy models

Are those 767s doing what I think they're doing? How Boeings are made? Airliner porn?

Great collection and photographs - with my 150 +/- models, I'm just a pretender. Plus I'm currently being plagued by a number of landing gear failures in some hard won, expensive, older AeroClassics models (please, no Wrath of Klein).

Later, Doug

Wow - some special, hard-to-get models in there.

I am also curious about the reason for the gold/tan-colored livery.

The 2 767s is doing what your imagination can think of...
Perhaps all Nipporn will be more appropriate for this pic.

Doug, hope you can manage to find some replacement gears for those
Gears failure models.

I can only recall the golden livery is for ANA flight to some new destination and kind of related to some colors of fish... cant really give the correct answer to it and perhaps someone here can enlighten us more.

maplensc....What an Awesome! ANA collection and diorama. I am wondering how you made those NCA GSEs? Do you also have the ANA GSE's? How many total 1/400 ANAs do you have? I finally got my ANA B763W too. Keep up the good work. Are you going to call it ANA International Airport?

FANTASTIC ANA collection and diorama Jeffrey!!!! a few years ago I had a 16 strong 200 scale fleet, but NO room for a diorama!! sadly all gone now and I just collect BOAC and the odd landor model!

even had a huge 1/100 ANA 787 too.

Yeah, but... In reality, you're probably ahead. This hobby can and often does get out of control. Focusing on one airline, or even one period of a particular airline's history is a smart choice in my opinion - concentrate on one aspect, and do it well, and years down the road, the hobby will still be enjoyable, not regrettable. My 2 cents, Doug

On a serious note: There is a thread here asking when do you stop collecting?

This collection shows even with a small criteria of one airline or one country you can still amass quite a collection.

Nice pics.

these GSEs been the jewel of Hogan sets and it always exclusive to Japanese market. I do wish they can release with an cheaper option to the mass market...

haha... actually I took the pic just to show the differences between the first and second version.... yes the 727 is quite rare now and fortunately I got it
years back with an affordable price.
